The main value of an email route is to receive all emails from Airbnb between several recipients. In order to do so, you will need to change your Airbnb login email.
Here are the steps to change your Airbnb email address (as of November 2020):
Make sure that you are authenticated to the Airbnb account.
Click on the top-right menu.
Click on Account.
Click on Personal info
Click "Edit" next to your email, change to the "
@host.smartbnb.io" email address and save.
All emails sent to this email address will be forwarded automatically to the email address(es) defined in the email route. This will make sure that all recipients receive all correspondence related to the management of your Airbnb account.
