All new Hospitable accounts start with a 14-day free trial. Your trial begins the moment your account is created and gives you full, unrestricted access to Hospitable so you can test it against your real hosting workflow before deciding on a plan. No credit card or payment method is required to start.
This article walks through what's included, how subscribing works, what happens when the trial ends, and how to get the most value from your 14 days.
What’s included in the free trial
During your 14-day free trial, you get:
Full access to every Hospitable feature, because all trials are placed on the Mogul plan (our most complete plan).
No payment method required — you don't enter card details to start, and you won't be charged unless you subscribe.
Unlimited properties during the trial — connect as many listings as you want to test how Hospitable behaves at your real scale.
Access to the Hospitable Community, where you can ask questions and learn from experienced hosts and the Hospitable team.
A free 1:1 orientation call with our specialists (more on this below).
💡 Trials run on the Mogul plan so you can try every feature, but you can subscribe to any plan when you choose — Essentials, Host, Professional, or Mogul. See Hospitable Pricing & Subscription Costs for plan details.
Subscribing during your trial
You can subscribe at any time during the trial — you don't have to wait until day 14.
To subscribe:
Go to Settings
Click Plans & billing
Choose the best plan for your needs by clicking on Select plan
For annual plans, make sure to do the following to commit to the correct number of properties (you can always add more later!)
Use the "How many properties are you managing?" slider
Toggle between monthly and annual plans to see pricing differences
Complete the subscription process
If you subscribe to a monthly plan before the trial ends:
Your trial continues until the full 14 days are complete.
You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
Your first monthly invoice is generated on the day after your trial ends.
If you subscribe to an annual plan before the trial ends:
Your trial continues until the full 14 days are complete.
Because annual plans are paid upfront for the full 12 months, you will be charged immediately when you subscribe.
How to book a free trial orientation session
Every host on a free trial is invited to a free 1:1 orientation. This is the fastest way to get value out of your trial.
The orientation:
Walks through Hospitable's key features
Helps you decide which plan fits your needs
Gives you dedicated time to ask questions about your specific workflow
Is completely free
To book an orientation:
In your Hospitable dashboard, go to Help
Click Book an orientation
Pick a time that works for you from the calendar
What happens after 14 days
If you have subscribed:
Your subscription will remain ongoing once your invoice payment is collected successfully
If you have not subscribed:
All Hospitable services will stop
Your account settings, rules, and configurations are saved in case you choose to subscribe later
If desired, you can disconnect your channels by going to Channel connections > edit > delete. For Booking.com, follow the steps here.
How to cancel a free trial
If you have not yet subscribed, you don't need to cancel your free trial. Because no payment methods have been added, your trial will automatically end at the end of the 14 days.
Payment Issues
See Subscription FAQs & Troubleshooting for any billing-related questions.
When you add a new card, we run an authorization hold to verify it.
This is not an actual charge.
No money is collected.
However, your bank may show it as a temporary, pending transaction.
The hold will clear automatically based on your bank's processing timeline (you can call them to confirm how long that will take; it's typically up to 5 days). Hospitable will only charge you on your first invoice date.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to enter a credit card to start the free trial?
No. You can sign up and use Hospitable for the full 14 days without entering any payment details. A payment method is required only if you choose to subscribe or use certain paid features. Dynamic pricing requires adding a payment method to activate.
How long is the free trial?
14 days from the moment your account is created. The trial countdown starts immediately at signup, not on first login or first listing connection.
Which plan am I on during the trial?
All free trials run on the Mogul plan, which includes every Hospitable feature. This is so you can test everything before deciding which plan is the right long-term fit. You can subscribe to any plan (Essentials, Host, Professional, or Mogul) when you're ready.
I was charged before the end of my free trial.
If you subscribed to a monthly plan and were charged before your trial ended, this was likely an authorization, not an actual charge. See more here.
Can I switch plans during or after my trial?
Yes. You can change plans from Settings → Subscription. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades typically take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. See Hospitable Pricing & Subscription Costs for plan-specific behavior.
How many listings can I connect during the trial?
There is no listing limit during the trial. Connect as many properties as you'd like so you can see how Hospitable performs at your real scale. Your subscription price after the trial is based on the number of active properties and your chosen plan.
What happens to my data and settings if my trial ends without me subscribing?
Nothing is deleted. Your properties, message templates, automation rules, and historical reservations remain on your account. Hospitable services (messaging, calendar sync, pricing, etc.) are simply paused. The moment you subscribe, everything resumes from where it left off.
Will guest messages still be answered automatically after my trial ends?
No. Once the trial ends without a subscription, all automations — including AI messaging, scheduled messages, review automation, etc. — are paused until you subscribe. We recommend subscribing before your trial ends if you have active reservations, to avoid any gap in guest communication.
Is the orientation call a sales call?
No. The call is focused on answering product questions and helping you decide whether Hospitable is the right fit for you and your business. There's no obligation to subscribe afterward.
Can I cancel during the trial?
Yes. You can stop using Hospitable at any time during the trial — since no payment method is required, there's nothing to cancel from a billing perspective. If you'd like your account fully removed, contact support.
Can I refer other users while I'm on trial?
Yes! You can earn credits by referring new users to Hospitable. See terms here.
