The Hospitable.com and Rategenie integration allows you to use Rategenie's Dynamic Pricing product on all properties you have on Hospitable.com which can include VRBO, Airbnb, and Booking.com listings.

To integrate Rategenie with your Hospitable.com account, you will need to follow the below steps.

On Airbnb: Disable Smart Pricing

You will need to disable Smart Pricing on your Airbnb listings.

If Smart Pricing is enabled, Rategenie will not be able to make successful changes to your Airbnb prices, as Airbnb will override them.

On Hospitable.com: Merge your listings together

Back on Hospitable.com, we strongly recommend that you start by ensuring that you are merging your Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com listings of the same property together. This may already be the case, but if you have not done so, you should follow the instructions in this article to help you merge your properties together.

On Hospitable.com: Set your markup rates

We recommend that you set up your markup rates for each listing or platform. This markup will be added to the price generated by Rategenie, when we push their rates to your listings. The markup will depend on your channel distribution strategy.

  • For example, if you define a markup of 10% for Airbnb, and 15% for VRBO, and Rategenie pushes a price of $100 to Hospitable, Hospitable will push a price of $110 for Airbnb, and $115 for VRBO.

To create your markup rates:

  1. Click on Settings, and click on Preferences

  2. Click on Properties

  3. You can then enter your markup rate for each platform.

Note: The markup rate can be a negative, positive value or zero.

On Hospitable.com: Generate your API key

API keys are credentials that will allow Rategenie to write to your calendar through Hospitable.com

  1. Scroll down to Tools and click on API keys.

  2. Toggle over to API keys (legacy)

  3. Click the + Add new button. This will generate your unique API key, with a Client ID and a Client secret.

  4. Make sure to select permissions to ✅ Read calendar, and ✅ Write calendar

  5. Name the API key “Rategenie" (this is optional, but highly recommended so you can recognize it later)

On Rategenie: Set up the connection!

  1. Firstly, if you do not have a Rategenie account yet, you will need to set one up, you can sign up here.

  2. Inside Rategenie, On the bottom left, navigate to the Integrations Page.

  3. On the integration page, click on the Connect button present in the Hospitable section.

  4. Enter the Account ID (Hospitable Client ID) and API Key (Hospitable Client secret) from Hospitable and click on the “Connect” button to connect Hospitable with Rategenie.

Rategenie will import your Hospitable properties as Rategenie listings.

  1. To view your Hospitable properties as Rategenie listings, click on the ‘Listings’ button.

  2. By default, all listings will be inactive and won’t be shown in the Rental/Listings page or use Rategenie rates. To enable any listing for Rategenie, Set the status toggle to ON. If you don’t enable the toggle, the property will not be imported to Rategenie and won’t be visible anywhere in the system except the Integrations page.

  3. Once the toggle is turned ON, You can see that property in the Listings page and on the rentals list view.

To allow pushing the rates from Rategenie to Hospitable, complete the following steps in Rategenie.

  1. Make sure Account level sync is ON.

  2. Go to the listings module and turn on the channel manager sync.

  3. Go to the listing module and select Hospitable from the left menu and turn on the Listings sync and Account PMS sync.

  4. Go to the rentals listview and turn on the toggle for rental sync.

  5. Now you can go to the Rates Calendar and generate rates for the rental. To generate the rates, simply Save the rate settings & link the strategy with it.

  6. Once all the syncing toggles are turned on & rates are generated, you can view the last sync column, in the Listings module, has been updated.

Rategenie will now set pricing based on your configurations, and Hospitable will push that pricing plus any configured markups to your connected channels.
