Tax Collection and Remittance by Hospitable in New York

State of New York

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the State of New York, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • State and Local Sales Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee and guest fees for reservations 179 nights and shorter in New York City and for reservations 89 nights and shorter outside New York City. Delaware County

For bookings made through Direct Premium in Delaware County, NY, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Delaware County Hotel Occupancy Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee and guest fees for reservations 31 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to Delaware County hotel occupancy taxes, please visit the Oneida County Finance and Treasury.

Oneida County

For bookings made through Direct Premium in Oneida County, NY, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Oneida County Hotel Occupancy Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee and guest fees for reservations 29 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to Oneida County hotel occupancy taxes, please visit the Delaware County Treasurer.

Schoharie County

For bookings made through Direct Premium in Schoharie County, NY, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Schoharie County Occupancy Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee and guest fees for reservations 29 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to Schoharie County occupancy taxes, please visit the Schoharie County Department of Treasurer.

In addition to Direct Premium bookings, the taxes listed above may apply to upsell purchases made by guests through Hospitable. If an upsell is subject to an applicable tax, those taxes will be automatically collected and remitted on your behalf. Any other applicable taxes that are not listed are your responsibility to file and remit to the respective regulatory jurisdiction in accordance with state, city, and/or local laws and regulations. Hospitable will collect and pass through these taxes to you within your payout.
