How to add or edit a manual reservation

You may wish to create a manual reservation if you have a friend or owner staying at your property or if you receive a booking through a platform that isn't integrated with Hospitable. These reservations should not be confused with Direct bookings.

Similar to other types of reservations, messages, smart lock codes, tasks, and more can be automated for manual reservations. You'll need to ensure that all messaging rules are scoped to the manual platform.

All payments for manual reservations will be handled by the host, outside of Hospitable.

Create a manual reservation from the Inbox

  1. Go to the Inbox

  2. Click on +Add booking

  3. Select Add a manual booking

  4. Fill out the required information, including property, dates, guest name and contact details, and number of guests.

  5. Click Create booking

Create a manual reservation from the Calendar

  1. Go to the Calendar

  2. Select the dates

  3. Towards the bottom of the right-hand panel, select +Add booking

  4. Select Add a manual booking

  5. Fill out the required information, including property, dates, guest name and contact details, and number of guests.

  6. Click Create booking

If you've already created a manual booking and need to make an alteration, you can do so by following these steps:

Alter a manual booking from the Calendar

  1. Click on the reservation.

  2. On the right-hand panel that appears, click on Edit reservation.

  3. Apply the necessary changes.

  4. Click Update booking.

Alter a manual booking from the Inbox

  1. Search for the guest name or reservation code.

  2. Click on the conversation thread

  3. On the left-hand panel, click on Edit reservation.
    โ€‹On mobile: click on the 3 dots on the top-right corner to display the panel.

  4. Apply the necessary changes.

  5. Click Update booking.
