What are details, fees, discounts, and security deposits, and how are they used?

The information in this article refers to the Details and Pricing pages on your selected property’s page.

To find the Details and Pricing pages:

  1. Log in to your Hospitable account

  2. Click on Properties on the left-side menu

  3. Click on your property

  4. On the left-side menu on the Merge & match page, click on Details or Pricing

How Hospitable Populates These Fields

The property details, base price, fees, and discounts are pulled in from your Airbnb listing.

If you don't have an Airbnb listing connected, you will need to update it manually in order to populate the information on your Direct booking website.

Note: If your lead listing is a Vrbo or Booking.com listing, we will still pull in the details from the Airbnb listing on the property to populate these fields.

How (and Where) to Set Your Property's Details, Fees, and Discounts

Direct

The details, fees, and discounts set on these pages are used to populate your Direct booking website or widget.

Airbnb

We can push most of the property details back to Airbnb. The details with an Airbnb icon in front are all fields that are supported right now.

Details are kept in sync with Airbnb when changed in Airbnb (pulled every 2 hours) or changed in Hospitable, pushed directly to Airbnb. The fields are only kept in sync if the Airbnb icon is not grayed out.

If the Airbnb icon is grayed out, the value will only apply on the other channels if applicable (Booking.com, Direct).

Booking.com

We can push some of the property details back to Booking.com. The fields with a blue Booking.com icon in front are all fields that are supported right now. The Booking.com icon will only show up for listings managed by Hospitable.

Details are only pushed to Booking.com and not pulled. When making changes, it will be directly pushed to Booking.com. Changing the details in the extranet of Booking.com will be overwritten on the sync that happens in the two-hour sync.

All other platforms

All other details, fees, and discounts need to be set directly on your booking platforms.


Make Manual Updates

You can make manual changes by clicking on the field and changing the number (or pressing Edit). Where possible we will push the changes to the other platforms, as indicated with the icon in front of it.

If the details are not supported to be kept in sync we will mark these details as "Edited" and it will be unlinked from the channel. This means that future changes made on the channel (Airbnb, Booking.com) will not be reflected on Hospitable. You can relink these fields if needed.

The channel icon is colored for property details that are pulled from the channel.

The icon turns to grey after edits are made in Hospitable and we stop pulling updates for this detail from your channel listing. We also stop pushing to the channel.


Relink Edited Fields with Airbnb

If you edited a field and wish to relink it with Airbnb, click on the Resync button at the top right corner of the Details page. Check the box "Also synchroise unlinked fields" and then click Resync now.


Resync Updated Fields from Airbnb

If you changed one or more of these fields on Airbnb, we will sync those changes during our next two-hour sync. If you wish to sync those details sooner so your Direct Site remains updated, you can use the Resync button at the top right corner of the Details page. Click Resync now.
