A pre-approval lets an inquiring guest know that your listing is available to them on their requested dates. Once you've pre-approved the guest, they can complete their booking without requiring further action from you.
You can pre-approve inquiries:
Manually from the Inbox
Manually from the Guests' conversation thread
Automatically via the New Inquiry Messaging Rule (instructions can be found here)
Pre-approvals will give Airbnb guests 24 hours to finalize their booking with you.
How to Pre-Approve Inquiries
From the Inbox
Navigate to the Inbox
Click on the green Pre-approve button alongside the guest's message
From the Conversation Thread
Opent the guest's conversation thread
Select pre-approve
⚠️ Limitations
While we can pre-approve inquiries from Airbnb, we can't extend or decline the pre-approval. You'll need to do this directly on Airbnb.
We can't support this feature for Vrbo inquiries or Booking.com Request to Book. They must be pre-approved directly on the platform itself.
