It only takes a minute to add a payout method to Direct Premium so you can start taking direct bookings, but you won't be able to receive your payout until you complete the required Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Your bank information and KYC materials are entered directly on our payment service provider’s secure platform (this data is not stored on Hospitable servers).

Get ready

For security reasons, verification links expire after 20 minutes, so you'll want to make sure you are ready to complete the required information. The whole verification process should only take a few minutes of your time.

⚠️ Important tips for the KYC form

  • For US individuals and entities, you must provide the last four digits of your Social Security number.

  • For business bank accounts, you must provide at least one signatory, controller, and owner. A single person may have one, two, or all three roles.

  • Most short-term rental companies (LLC, Inc., etc.) should select Private company as the company type.

  • Handwritten documents will not be accepted as evidence.

Verifying your bank account

There are two options to verify your bank account.

  1. The fastest option is to link your bank account via Trustly; otherwise,

  2. You can manually enter your bank account and routing number, providing a recent form of evidence like a bank statement. If your evidence passes automated review, it could take only a few minutes; if it requires manual screening, it can take several hours to a couple business days.

Instant verification via Trustly

Our payment platform provider, Adyen, works with Trustly to instantly verify your bank account. Not all banks are supported. Here's how it works:

  • On the Verification method page under Payout Details, select the first method.

  • Select the bank where you would like to receive the payouts.

  • Log into your banking environment via mobile app or web browser.

  • Your bank will confirm your account details to Adyen.

Adyen states that they only gain temporary access to your bank details, and your data is never shared with third parties, but depending on your bank, Trustly may continue to have access to shared data as a linked app.

Manual verification

If you prefer, you can also manually enter your account and routing number. You will need to provide a recent bank statement, deposit slip, an official letter or email from your bank, or a screenshot of your online banking as evidence. Evidence requirements:

  • The account holder name on the document has to match your personal or legal business or trading name

  • The account number (full or partial) needs to be visible

  • The date on the document is no older than 12 months

  • Shows the country where the bank account is located

  • It has to be official document from a bank, demonstrated by a bank logo, the bank name, or a bank-specific font

  • File format: JPG, JPEG, PDF or PNG, maximum 4MB

Verification for individuals

To verify a personal bank account, you will need to provide information about the individual account owner, the bank account, and accept the payment platform's terms and conditions.

  1. Personal details

    1. Name (Note: should match the name as it appears on your bank account)

    2. Date of birth

    3. Country of residence

    4. Last 4 digits of Social Security Number

    5. Email address

    6. Phone number (enter country code first, eg. "+1")

File format: JPG, JPEG, PDF or PNG, maximum 4MB.

You will need to have it signed and dated by someone with decision-making or signing power within the company. Make sure the date, title, and legal entity name are included.)

  2. Decision makers
You will need to provide at least one controlling person, one signatory, and all owners holding 25% or more of the company. Each person may have one, two, or all three roles.

    1. Controlling person: someone authorized to make major business decisions. They may or may not be an owner.

    2. Owner: someone who owns 25% or more of the company, through voting rights, equity, or similar.

How long does it take?

If you use the instant bank account verification and your documents do not require manual review, you can be verified in under five minutes; otherwise it may take 1-2 business days. You can check your verification status on the Payout Method page. If you see “Verification required”, you should be able to hover over the text to see what information or evidence is missing.

If you're payout method still shows "Processing" after 3 business days, please contact Hospitable Support at [email protected] and we can escalate your case to the payment platform.
