The Host Co. automatically creates store links for each property to send to guests through the %upsell% short code.

Get started on Hospitable:

  1. Go to Apps

  2. Click The Host Co.

  3. Click Get Started to be redirected to The Host Co. where you can learn more, sign up for a free account or sign in.

Or, initiate the connection on The Host Co.

  1. Log in to your account at https://app.thehost.co/login/

  2. On the Integrations page, click Hospitable

Add the %upsell% short code to your Messaging Rules

The Host Co. will create a unique store link for every Hospitable property. To automate the communication of that store link to the guest, add the link in your Property details and use the %upsell% short code in your messaging rules.

  1. On Hospitable, click Properties > Select the property > Click Details

  2. In the Upsell section, paste the store link provided by The Host Co.

  3. Now, make sure you're using the %upsell% short code in your guest messages. Go to Guest Experience > Messaging Rules > Select the message you'd like to share your store link in. (Note: links can only be shared in messages sent after a confirmed booking. They will not be sent in any message during the inquiry or request to book stage.)

  4. Add the %upsell% shortcode and a brief description of your store to your outgoing messages. The Host Co. recommends adding something like, “If you’re interested in adding any amenities like massage, chef, or mid-stay cleaning, check out our store: %upsell%
