From January 1st, 2025, the Western Australian State government requires all short-term rental properties to be registered and all bookings to be reported to the WA government.

Overview

  • All short-term rental properties in Western Australia must be registered with the state government

  • All bookings must be reported monthly, including Direct bookings

  • Reports must be submitted by the 5th of each month for the previous month's bookings

Hospitable Support for the WA STR Register

We are actively working with the Western Australian government to develop an automated solution for Direct hosts. Our goal is to:

  • Automatically report your direct bookings to the register

  • Eliminate the need for manual data entry

  • Help ensure compliance with the new requirements

We are currently in the early development phase of this integration.

Current Requirements

Until any automated solution is available, hosts should:

  • Register their properties through the Western Australian government portal

  • Manually report all bookings through the government's system

  • Ensure reports are submitted by the monthly deadline
