After publishing your Hospitable site, you can add a property search feature that allows guests to search availability across all your properties with results displayed on a map.

How Property Search Works

The search feature displays all your properties for every search, sorted by location and availability. When a property isn't available for the search criteria, guests will see why - whether it's due to length of stay requirements, guest count limits, or unavailable dates.

Set Up Your Location List

  • Hospitable creates a basic location list from your property cities to get you started

  • Edit the location dropdown by clicking "Add Location"

  • Enter a display name and double-click the map to place the pin

  • Create up to three location levels (country > city > neighborhood, or state > city > point of interest) by dragging and dropping.

Optimize Locations for Your Guests

  • Use your location list as another way to showcase your properties to prospective guests:

    • Add popular nearby tourist attractions if guests frequently search for them

    • Include local hospitals if you host many traveling nurses

    • Consider any landmarks or areas that help guests understand your property locations

Remember: locations sort your properties rather than filter them, so all properties appear in every search.

Manage Search Features

You can disable the map or property search entirely if needed.

Important: Property search isn't recommended for single-property sites as the search widget's availability display may not match your actual property availability, potentially confusing guests.
