Tax Collection and Remittance by Hospitable in Florida

State of Florida

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the State of Florida after April 30, 2025, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Florida State Sales Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee for reservations 182 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to transient rental taxes, please visit the Florida Department of Revenue.

  • Florida Discretionary Sales Surtax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee for reservations 182 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to discretionary sales surtaxes, please visit the Florida Department of Revenue.

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the State of Florida after November 30, 2025, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • County Tourist Development Tax (collected by Florida state): a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee for reservations 182 nights and shorter. The State of Florida administers the tourist development tax for the following counties: Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Desoto, Dixie, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Glades, Hamilton, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Levy, Madison, Okeechobee, Wakulla, and Washington. For detailed information related to county tourist development taxes, please visit the Florida Department of Revenue.

Brevard County

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the Brevard County, Florida after November 30, 2025, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Brevard County Tourist Development Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee for reservations 182 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to Brevard County tourist development taxes, please visit the Brevard County Tax Collector.

Lee County

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the Lee County, Florida after November 30, 2025, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Lee County Tourist Development Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee for reservations 182 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to Lee County tourist development taxes, please visit the Lee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller.

Pinellas County

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the Pinellas County, Florida after November 30, 2025, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Pinellas County Tourist Development Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee for reservations 182 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to Pinellas County tourist development taxes, please visit the Pinellas County Tax Collector.

In addition to Direct Premium bookings, the taxes listed above may apply to upsell purchases made by guests through Hospitable. If an upsell is subject to an applicable tax, those taxes will be automatically collected and remitted on your behalf. Any other applicable taxes that are not listed are your responsibility to file and remit to the respective regulatory jurisdiction in accordance with state, city, and/or local laws and regulations. Hospitable will collect and pass through these taxes to you within your payout.
