How do I resolve the 'Review Required' alert for Airbnb listings in Hospitable?

Overview

The 'Review Required' alert, sometimes seen for Airbnb listings, signifies a quality or compliance issue flagged by Airbnb. This status can impact your listing's visibility, and in some cases, Hospitable’s ability to fully sync with the Airbnb listing. Resolving the issues promptly is essential to ensure your listings remain active and visible.

Understanding Alerts on Airbnb

When Airbnb flags a 'Review Required' alert, it is typically linked to quality or compliance concerns. Common causes include:

  • Negative reviews or poor performance ratings

  • Missing required permits or property details

  • Incomplete or inaccurate sections in your listing (e.g., amenities, photos, descriptions, policies)

  • Short-term rental license verification

The flagged issues must be reviewed and corrected as prompted in the Airbnb host dashboard.

Steps to Resolve the 'Review Required' Alert

Follow these general steps to address the 'Review Required' alert and get your listing back to its optimal state:

Step 1: Check Airbnb Host Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Airbnb account.

  2. Go to your host dashboard.

  3. Under "Insights" or "Listing Issues", review the flagged items.

Step 2: Take Action on Specific Prompts

  1. Open the Quality/Listing Health or Hosting notifications for the affected listing.

  2. Address flagged areas such as missing information, negative reviews, or non-compliance with policies.

  3. If prompted, submit the required documentation or information (e.g., short-term rental licenses).

Step 3: Resync Your Listings

  1. Once you’ve made the necessary updates within Airbnb, log in to your Hospitable account.

  2. Go to "Connected accounts" on Hospitable.

  3. Click the "Edit" button next to your Airbnb channel.

  4. Click on "Re-sync".

  5. This will trigger a resync of your Airbnb listing. The alert should disappear in Hospitable once Airbnb updates the listing status.

Additional Tips

  • Airbnb’s review process can sometimes require follow-ups. If the issue persists beyond 24 hours after you’ve addressed flagged items, consider contacting Airbnb support directly.

  • Note that the alert can sometimes linger on Hospitable after being resolved on Airbnb. This does not impact the ongoing sync between Hospitable and Airbnb. Your connection will remain functional during the review process. You can contact Hospitable support for help with removing the alert.
