Overview of 'Importing' Status

The 'importing' status on Airbnb is primarily a visual indicator used within the platform. This status might appear to show that active data such as pricing or availability is still being synchronized between Airbnb and Hospitable.com. However, this is usually a visual bug and does not denote a lack of connection or integration issues.

Functionality and Visibility

  • Importantly, the 'importing' status does not affect functionality, and your property remains fully available for bookings. Guests will still be able to view and book your listed properties without issue.

  • Additionally, if you verify your listing directly in the Airbnb platform, the status should display as 'Active & Good,' indicating everything is functioning correctly and your listing is visible to potential guests.

Troubleshooting the 'Importing' Status

If you are concerned about your listing showing as 'importing,' follow these steps to confirm functionality and diagnose potential issues: -

  • Check the Airbnb Portal: Confirm the status of your listing appears as 'Active & Good.'

  • Understand Its Visual Nature: Typically, this status does not indicate a problem and can be ignored unless there are further indications of connection issues.

  • Check Functionality via Booking Tests: As long as test bookings can successfully be made, the 'importing' status can generally be disregarded.

Resolving the 'Importing' Status

You can try to resolve the 'Importing' status directly from Hospitable!

  1. Go to your property page on Hospitable.

  2. Select the property with the Airbnb listing stuck in the 'importing' status.

  3. Click the three dots next to the listing.

  4. Select "Unpublish listing".

  5. Fill in the quick questionnaire about why you are publishing the listing.

  6. Wait a few minutes.

  7. Click the three dots again.

  8. Select "Publish listing".

As stated before, as long as there are no sync issues with your calendar, there is no actual issue with the 'importing' status.

This is just a visual bug on Airbnb, which they are aware of.
