List or Unlist Your Listing

How to publish or unpublish your Airbnb or Booking.com listings, directly from Hospitable

You can manage whether your listing is live (listed) or hidden (unlisted) on Airbnb or Booking.com directly from Hospitable. This is helpful if you're getting a new listing ready to go live, taking a break from hosting, or removing a listing from a platform.

This is also the fix if your Airbnb listing shows as "importing" on Airbnb.

Why does my Airbnb listing show as "importing" on Airbnb? This is a known error on Airbnb's end. While this doesn't affect our ability to update your listing, you can resolve this by unlisting and relisting your Airbnb listing from Hospitable.

Listing and unlisting apply to individual listings within a property — not to the property itself. Each listing can be managed independently, so changing the status of one listing does not affect the others.

This feature is currently supported for Airbnb and Booking.com only. To manage your Vrbo listing status, you'll need to do so directly on Vrbo.

How to List or Unlist a Listing

  1. Go to HospitableProperties.

  2. Select the property you'd like to update.

  3. On the property's Overview page, find the listing you want to change.

  4. Click the dropdown menu next to the listing.

  5. Select List / Unlist or Publish / Unpublish.

You may be prompted to answer a few required questions before the process can be completed.

What to Know

  • Existing reservations are not affected. Unlisting or unpublishing only hides the listing from new guests. Any confirmed reservations remain active.

  • Other listings on the same property are not affected. For example, unlisting your Airbnb listing will not change the status of your Booking.com or Direct listing.

  • First time publishing on Booking.com? Make sure you've completed the required setup steps first. See: How to Publish a Booking.com Listing on Hospitable.

Not Sure if Unlisting Is Right?

  • Want to block specific dates while keeping the listing live? → Block dates in your Hospitable calendar instead. See Change Your Property's Availability.

  • Want to pause Hospitable's services for a property?Mute the property. Note: muting does not hide your listing from guests or stop new bookings — it only pauses Hospitable features like messaging and syncing. See Muting & Unmuting Properties.

  • Want to permanently remove a listing from Hospitable?Delete the listing on the booking channel.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does unlisting or unpublishing affect my existing reservations? No. It only hides the listing from new guests. Confirmed reservations remain active.

  • Does unlisting on one platform affect my other listings? No. Only the specific listing you unlist is affected.

  • Can I list or unlist my Vrbo listing from Hospitable? No. Vrbo listing status can only be managed directly on Vrbo.

  • What's the difference between unlisting and muting? Unlisting hides your listing from guests and stops new bookings. Muting only pauses Hospitable's management of that property — it does not affect the listing on the booking platform.

  • Why can't I list my Airbnb listing? If you run into an error while trying to list your property on Airbnb, it’s often due to the listing’s status or missing information on Airbnb. Here are a few things to check:

    • Missing information: Airbnb may block a listing from going live if key details are missing. Check your Hosting Notifications from Channel connections to see if there are any incomplete fields related to your account or listing.

    • Listing quality status: If your listing has been paused or suspended by Airbnb, it can’t be listed through Hospitable. Review your Listing Quality Status issues that may need to be resolved before the listing can go live.

  • Why does my Airbnb listing show as "importing" on Airbnb? This is a known error on Airbnb's end. While this doesn't affect our ability to update your listing, you can resolve this by unlisting and relisting from Hospitable.
