Tax Collection and Remittance by Hospitable in Pennsylvania

For bookings made through Direct Premium in the State of Pennsylvania after October 31, 2025, Hospitable remits and files the following taxes:

  • Pennsylvania Hotel Occupancy Tax: a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee and guest fee for reservations 29 nights and shorter. For detailed information related to state hotel occupancy tax, please visit the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Local Sales Tax (collected by Pennsylvania State): a percentage of the listing price including any cleaning fee and guest fee for reservations 29 nights and shorter. The State of Pennsylvania administers the local sales tax for Allegheny County and the City of Philadelphia. For detailed information related to local sales tax, please visit the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

In addition to Direct Premium bookings, the taxes listed above may apply to upsell purchases made by guests through Hospitable. If an upsell is subject to an applicable tax, those taxes will be automatically collected and remitted on your behalf. Any other applicable taxes that are not listed are your responsibility to file and remit to the respective regulatory jurisdiction in accordance with state, city, and/or local laws and regulations. Hospitable will collect and pass through these taxes to you within your payout.
