Currency in Direct bookings is set at the property level and determines how prices are shown to guests and how payments are processed.
This article explains how currency works and what to expect when managing multiple properties.
How Currency Works
Each property has a single configured currency.
This currency is used for:
Displaying prices to guests
Processing payments
Recording booking totals
Guests will always see prices in the property’s currency.
Hospitable does not convert currencies for guests.
Multi-Property Currency Setup
If you manage multiple properties:
Each property can have a different currency
Guests will see pricing based on the selected property
There is no automatic currency conversion between properties.
Payout Currency
Your payout currency must match your property currency.
This ensures:
Payments are processed correctly
No conversion is required during payout
Mismatched payout and property currencies may cause payment issues.
What Guests Experience
Guests:
See prices in a single currency per property
Pay in that same currency
Are not shown converted values
This ensures a consistent booking experience.
