Hospitable's new browser extension automates the Booking.com account connection end-to-end. Instead of copying property IDs and connection details by hand, the extension pulls everything from your Booking.com extranet and completes the connection for you. This article walks through installing the extension, running the automated connection, and what to do if you need the manual fallback.
Before you start
Make sure you are logged into the Booking.com account you want to connect, on the same browser.
You need admin access to the Booking.com extranet account you want to connect.
You will need to use a supported browser: Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
You need to be signed into Hospitable in the same browser.
Step 1: Start the connection process
Go to:
Hospitable → Channel connections
Click Connect Booking.com
Step 2: Follow the connection flow and download the extension
After clicking Connect Booking.com, you will land on a page that says How connecting works:
Make sure you understand how the connection works.
Click Continue to move to the next step when ready.
On the next page, you will be asked if you have any iCals imported into your Booking.com calendar. Make sure you don't, and select "No" to continue.
On the next page, click the Install Browser Extension button.
This will open up a separate tab, where you download and install the browser extension.
Once you've installed the extension, or if you have already installed the extension, click the "I've installed the extension".
Click Connect Booking.com
Do NOT close the Hospitable tab on your browser!
Step 3: Final steps on Booking.com
The browser will open up a new tab on the Booking.com extranet.
If prompted, log in to the Booking.com extranet to provide account access for the browser extension.
The extension will complete all of the connection steps on Booking.com for you, before returning you back to Hospitable.
Step 4: Final steps on Hospitable
The browser extension will bring you back to Hospitable, where you see a list of all of the listings it found on your Booking.com account.
Scroll through the list and select either Import or Ignore.
Import will import those Booking.com listings into your Hospitable account.
Ignore will skip pulling in those listings.
Hospitable will finish pulling in your listings and setting up the connection.
And you're done! 🎉
If the extension can't complete the connection
A manual fallback is available for hosts who can't use the extension (for example, if your browser isn't supported or the extension can't read your extranet).
Go to Hospitable → Channel connections
Click Connect Booking.com
On the How connecting works page, click Continue
On the next page, you will be asked if you have any iCals imported into your Booking.com calendar. Make sure you don't, and select "No" to continue.
On the next page, click Connect the account manually
💡 The manual connection is fully supported and produces the same result — it just takes more steps and is more prone to typos in property IDs.
