Connect Hospitable with Lemon to turn every checkout into a scheduled cleaning job

Automate turnover cleaning with job offers to your cleaners and photo proof that the property is ready.

Written by Frances Rebollido

Lemon is a cleaning management tool for short-term rental hosts and property managers. Once connected to Hospitable, it plans a cleaning job for each checkout, offers it to your preferred cleaner, and follows up until someone accepts. Date changes and cancellations update the jobs automatically, so your cleaners always have the current schedule.

Cleaners receive job offers and reminders through the channels they already use, including WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, email and Facebook Messenger, and can accept or decline with one tap without installing an app. After each clean, they complete a per-property photo checklist that you can approve, or send back, from your dashboard.

Lemon also includes a live dashboard of turnovers in progress, supply tracking per property, and payout tracking for each cleaner. It reads guest cleanliness ratings from Hospitable and credits them to the cleaner who prepared that stay. You choose which properties Lemon manages, and you can hold new jobs for review before any cleaner is contacted.

Initiate the connection on Lemon

  1. Login to Lemon.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Go to Integrations.

  4. In the Connected apps card, click Connect beside Hospitable.

  5. You will be brought to the Hospitable login page (if you aren't already logged in).

  6. Review the permissions and click Authorize Lemon.

  7. You will be redirected back to Lemon.

  8. Lemon lists the properties it can see in your Hospitable account. Nothing is imported until you tick it. A property that already exists in Lemon is offered for linking rather than created twice; linking switches that property's iCal feeds off so one calendar drives it.

  9. Tick the three short agreements (terms, privacy, and the note that Lemon schedules cleaning from what Hospitable sends) and choose what happens to the cleans that come in: hold everything for review and release in bulk, create them but contact nobody until you activate each one, or go live immediately.

Lemon suggests holding for review when you bring over more than a handful of checkouts, and you can change the mode later in Settings.

  10. Click Start. The import runs as a resumable job with visible progress and schedules a clean for every upcoming checkout, using each property's own time zone and check-out time.
