Rule-sets are customizable, automated tools that manage pricing and availability across listings. They help hosts save time, maintain consistency, and adapt to booking scenarios like holidays, weekends, or last-minute gaps with minimal manual effort.

Creating Rule-sets

Rule-sets are created in the Calendar on Hospitable.

This can either be done from the multi-property calendar and applied to multiple properties at once, or from the single-property calendar.

Multi-property Calendar

Creating a rule-set in your multi-property calendar allows you to instantly apply the rule-set to dates across multiple properties!

🚨 Steps 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are optional!

  1. Navigate to the Calendar” page on Hospitable.

  2. In the list of properties, select a start date in the calendar of the top property.

  3. Select an end date for the period in the calendar of the bottom property.
    - Now you’ve selected a range of dates across multiple properties.

  4. In the tab which pops up on the right-hand side, select “Apply rule-set”.

  5. Select the colour you want applied to dates in your calendar that fall under this rule-set.

  6. Name the rule-set.

  7. Set a pricing adjustment (percentage increase or decrease).

  8. If you are using Hospitable's Dynamic Pricing, then set a Min price and Max price.

  9. Set minimum and maximum night stay.

  10. Set check-in and/or check-out restrictions for days of the week within the selected period.

  11. Set discount amounts for “Early bird”, “Last minute”, and “Length of stay” (Note: these will only be communicated to Airbnb).

Single-property Calendar

If you only have one property, then you will create and set rule-sets on the single-property calendar page. If you have multiple properties, then you can also do this on the single-property calendar page by going to

  • Properties

  • Select a property

  • Calendar

or by clicking on one of the property names in the multi-property calendar.

🚨 Steps 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are optional!

  1. Navigate to the “Calendar” or single-calendar page.

  2. Select a start date for the rule-set.

  3. Select an end date for the rule-set.

  4. Select the colour you want applied to dates under this rule-set.

  5. In the tab which pops up on the right-hand side, select “Apply rule-set”.

  6. Name the rule-set.

  7. Set a pricing adjustment (percentage increase or decrease)..

  8. If you are using Hospitable's Dynamic Pricing, then set a Min price and Max price.

  9. Set minimum and maximum night stay.

  10. Set check-in and/or check-out restrictions for days of the week within the selected period.

  11. Set discount amounts for “Early bird”, “Last minute”, and “Lenght of stay” (Note: these will only be communicated to Airbnb).

Rule-sets and User Management/Secondary Users

Secondary users have access to creating, applying, and editing rule-sets if given the correct permissions.

Viewing rule-sets: Secondary users with permission to view “Calendar” or full access will be able to view rule-sets applied to the calendar.

Editing: Secondary users with permission to “Update pricing” andUpdate availability and min night stay” or ones with full access will be able to apply rule-sets to the calendar.

Creating rule-sets on Airbnb

When you create a new rule-set on Airbnb, Hospitable will not pull that in and apply to your calendar.

Only rule-sets which were created on Airbnb before the Airbnb channel was connected to Hospitable, or before the rule-sets feature was enabled on Hospitable will be pulled in and managed on Hospitable.

🚨 Only one rule-set can apply to each date.
