Troubleshooting issues with the support chat button

Can't start a live chat with Hospitable support? Here's how to troubleshoot the Help button.

The Help chat button should appear on the bottom-right corner of your screen on the desktop. Click "ask a question" to start a chat with the support team.

If you’re having trouble starting a chat with the support team, whether the button is not showing, won't open, or you can’t type in it, try these troubleshooting steps:

If you're using the web app (desktop browser)

  1. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
    This can help resolve issues caused by outdated or corrupted data stored in your browser.

  2. Disable ad/script blockers
    Some browser extensions may block the chat from loading. Try disabling them or whitelisting Hospitable.com.

  3. Check your VPN
    Some VPNs can block the chat entirely, so try to disable them. For example, NordVPN’s “Advanced Threat Protection” feature can prevent the chat from loading.

  4. Try a different browser / device
    Switch to a different browser or open Hospitable in an incognito/private window, or, try a different device to determine if this is a device-specific issue.

If you're on the Hospitable mobile app

It’s expected that you don’t see the Help chat button the same way as on desktop. To contact support from mobile:

  1. Open the app

  2. Tap Menu (☰) on the bottom right corner of the screen

  3. Click Help, then click "ask a question"
