To ensure a safe and trustworthy marketplace for both hosts and guests, Hospitable requires Direct Premium users to verify their identity before accepting direct bookings. This helps prevent fraud and ensures that all hosts on our platform are legitimate property managers.

What are the requirements?

To accept direct bookings through Direct Premium, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Option 1: Have a fully verified payout method

Complete identity verification (KYC) for one of your payout methods in Hospitable.

Option 2: Have an active listing on an external OTA

Connect at least one property to an external booking platform (such as Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, or Agoda) and have that listing published and active.

What happens if I don't meet the requirements?

If you haven't completed verification:

  1. Your calendar availability will be blocked - Guests will not be able to book any dates on your Direct booking site, custom quotes, or booking widgets

  2. A banner will appear on your Direct Dashboard - This banner will inform you that verification is required and guide you through the process

Who is affected?

These verification requirements apply to:

  • Direct Premium users who signed up after December 16, 2025

If you signed up before this date or are on Direct Basic, you are not affected by these requirements.

I've completed verification but my calendar is still blocked

Verification status is checked automatically. If you've just completed verification, please wait a few minutes for the system to update. If your calendar remains blocked after 10 minutes:

  1. Ensure your Default payout method is verified.

  2. Verify that your OTA listing is published and not in draft mode

  3. Contact our support team if the issue persists
