When Payouts Are Sent
Payouts for Vrbo Partner reservations follow the same payout schedule as Direct Premium reservations.
Payouts are initiated:
24 hours after guest check-in
After a payout is initiated, banking networks may require additional processing time before funds arrive in your account.
Payout initiation and fund delivery are separate stages. The time required for funds to arrive depends on banking processing times.
When Funds Arrive
After a payout is initiated, funds typically arrive within several business days.
The exact timing may vary depending on:
Your bank
Banking holidays
Weekend processing schedules
Payment verification requirements
You can view the estimated arrival date for each payout in:
Settings → Payments & Payouts → Payouts
The estimated arrival date reflects when the funds are expected to reach your bank account after the payout has been initiated.
Estimated arrival dates are provided by the payment processor and may change due to banking delays, weekends, or holidays.
Last-Minute Bookings
Reservations made close to check-in may require additional payment verification before a payout can be released.
For bookings made shortly before check-in, payouts may be delayed while guest payments fully clear.
Some last-minute booking restrictions may also apply to Vrbo Request to Book reservations.
Guests cannot submit a new Vrbo Request to Book reservation within 48 hours of check-in. Instant Book reservations are not affected. See "Vrbo Partner: Request to Book" for details.
This keeps:
The payout explanation in the body
The RTB limitation as the single expectation-setting callout
A clean retrieval path to the dedicated RTB article
without stacking warnings in the same section.
Early Payouts
Early payouts are not available for Vrbo Partner reservations.
All reservations follow the standard payout schedule.
Bank Accounts
Payouts are sent to the bank account assigned to the property.
Hosts can manage payout destinations from their payment settings.
To view or update bank account assignments:
Go to Settings → Payments & Payouts → Bank Accounts.
Review the bank account assigned to each property.
Update the assignment if needed.
Split Payouts
Different properties can be assigned to different bank accounts.
This allows hosts and property managers to direct payouts to the appropriate account for each listing.
Examples include:
Separate accounts for different owners
Separate accounts for different business entities
Separate accounts for portfolio management
Installment Payments
Depending on your booking policy, guests may be able to pay for their reservation in installments.
When installment payments are enabled:
The first payment is collected at booking
Additional payments are collected automatically according to the payment schedule
Guests receive reminders before scheduled payments
Payout timing continues to follow the standard payout schedule once payment requirements have been met.
Failed Guest Payments
If a scheduled installment payment fails, the system may attempt additional collections during a grace period.
If payment cannot be collected, the reservation may be cancelled according to the applicable payment and booking policies.
Reservation outcomes following failed installment payments depend on the booking policy configured for the listing.
Refunds After a Payout
Sometimes a refund is issued after a payout has already been sent.
When this happens, the refunded amount may be recovered from a future payout.
The adjustment will be reflected in your payout activity and transaction records.
