What counts as a qualified referral?

A referral qualifies once the host signs up through your link and connects at least one active booking channel listing - this includes hosts on the free plan. If the referral is matched with a property manager instead, it qualifies once their property is active under management and they've received their first payout. Each referred host counts once, no matter how many properties they bring. Hospitable makes the final call on whether a referral qualifies.

Who can join?

Anyone with an established online presence reaching short-term rental hosts - a blog, YouTube channel, newsletter, social following, or community. The Program is built to promote Hospitable to an audience, not to refer people you know one at a time - if that's what you're doing, use Refer a Host instead. Referrals must be new to Hospitable; self-referrals and past customers don't qualify.

How often do payouts run?

Monthly. Hospitable generates the invoice for you based on the prior period's qualified referrals, and pays out on Net-30 terms from the invoice date.

Is there a minimum payout threshold?

No. Even a single $200 referral gets invoiced and paid in the next monthly cycle.

Can Hospitable withhold or delay a payment?

Yes, if fraud, abuse, or a breach of the Program terms is suspected.

How is this different from Refer a Host?

Refer a Host is for existing Hospitable customers referring people they know one at a time, it pays $100 in billing credit (referee gets $30 credit). The Affiliate Program is for people with an established online presence promoting Hospitable to an audience. If you're already a Hospitable customer with an audience, you can do both: refer friends through Refer a Host and use the Affiliate Program for your public content and channels.

Do I need to disclose that I'm an affiliate?

Yes. Disclose the relationship wherever your local law requires it (for example, FTC disclosure rules in the US). You're responsible for staying compliant - Hospitable doesn't file this for you.

Can I use Hospitable's logo or marketing materials?

Hospitable may provide assets for you to use. The license is limited, non-exclusive, and revocable, for Program promotion only. Don't modify the assets or use them in a way that damages the brand.

What if a referral doesn't show up in my dashboard?

Your affiliate dashboard is the single source of truth for tracking and attribution. Make sure you're sharing your unique link - Hospitable isn't responsible for missed tracking caused by the wrong link, browser or cookie restrictions, or other technical issues on the referred host's end.

Is this an employment relationship?

No. Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Hospitable. You're responsible for your own taxes, business expenses, and compliance with applicable law.

What happens if I self-refer or game the Program?

Self-referrals, fake accounts, and any other manipulation of the Program are prohibited. Hospitable can void the referral, withhold payment, and end your participation.

Can Hospitable end my participation?

Yes, at any time, with or without cause - Hospitable also decides at its sole discretion whether to accept an affiliate in the first place. If your account is terminated for a reason other than breach or misconduct, any valid Qualified Referrals earned before termination still get paid.
