Custom codes are an easy way to automatically adapt your message to certain conditions, platforms, hosts, or properties.

We've made things even easier for you by allowing you to have multiple custom codes with the same name.

For example, let's say you want to provide unique check-in instructions for each property

  • You can create a separate custom code, each only scoped to one property, all with the same name like: Check in instructions

  • You can then have one check-in messaging rule that contains all the information that is the same for everyone. In the part that is unique for each property you can add your custom code: %%Check in instructions%%.

  • We'll include the correct custom code based on the property that the guest booked.

Note: if your custom codes have the same name, they must have a different set of properties selected under your Properties "scope", without overlap or conflicts.
