With this integration, Houfy can automatically import your listing details and calendar from Hospitable. Reservations are also shared between the platforms to help you manage bookings and avoid double bookings.
Houfy handles guest payments for bookings made through its platform, while Hospitable helps you keep your reservations organized.
How does it work?
Houfy pulls prices, availability, min/max stay, check-in/out restrictions and listing content (title, description, photos, amenities, fees) from Hospitable twice a day. If you make changes in Hospitable and want them reflected on Houfy before the next scheduled sync, you can also manually trigger a sync in Houfy at any time.
Hosts can choose which of these sync per listing, and can trigger a pull any time. Reservations from Hospitable arrive in Houfy instantly.
How do reservations sync?
Reservations are shared between Hospitable and Houfy, but the process works differently depending on where the booking originates.
Reservations made on other channels connected to Hospitable
When a new reservation arrives in Hospitable, Houfy receives the reservation information instantly through a webhook. This allows Houfy to update availability without waiting for its next scheduled sync.
Reservations made on Houfy
When a guest books through Houfy, Houfy creates a manual booking in Hospitable through the API.
This means Houfy reservations appear in your Hospitable calendar as bookings, helping keep your availability up to date across your connected channels.
Important: Houfy is responsible for processing guest payments for reservations made through its marketplace. Hospitable does not process these payments.
What doesn't sync?
There are a few important limitations to keep in mind:
Blocks created on Houfy do not sync to Hospitable. If you manually block dates on Houfy, those blocks will not appear on your Hospitable calendar.
Houfy does not create calendar blocks in Hospitable. Instead, confirmed Houfy reservations are added as manual bookings through the API.
The integration does not use iCal. There is no need to import or export an iCal calendar to sync reservations between the platforms.
To block dates across your connected channels, manage your availability in Hospitable rather than creating a block only in Houfy.
Initiate the connection on Houfy
Login to your Houfy account.
Go to Software partners, select Hospitable.
Click Connect.
You will be brought to the Hospitable login page (if you aren't already logged in).
Review the permissions and click Authorize Houfy.
You will be redirected back to Houfy to complete the setup.
Hospitable-integrated listings are exempt from fees
Houfy charges guests an additional fee when booking on listings that are PMS-connected. Listings connected from Hospitable are exempted from this fee.
