How to Connect Your Thermostat Account

Step 1: Verify Your Device is Supported

Before connecting your thermostat to Hospitable, you'll want to ensure that it's a supported make and model. You can check our list of supported thermostats here.

Step 2: Connect Your Account

Go to Devices > Connect Devices > Connect Device and click on Connect a device account.

Press Continue, then select your thermostat brand to begin the integration process.

Continue through the connection process by authorizing the thermostat for use with Hospitable.

Step 3: Match Your Thermostats to Your Properties

Select the properties where your thermostats are located.

If the user connects the thermostat during a reservation, we won't switch to unoccupied at that check-out, as we haven't yet had a check-in to begin the syncing. The syncing will start on the next check-in.

If connecting a thermostat to a parent/child property. Please ensure the device is matched to both the parent & the child.

Step 4: Customize Your Thermostat Presets

There are three preset modes: Occupied, Unoccupied, and Long-term Unoccupied. You can customize these to suit your needs, and make changes later by going to Devices > Thermostat presets.

You'll set up each of these individually in the setup flow.

Occupied Mode: Activated 2 hours before the guest's check-in time to begin warming or cooling the property to a comfortable preset temperature range. This mode will remain enabled during the entirety of the guest's reservation.

Unoccupied Mode: When a guest's reservation ends, the thermostat automatically switches to an energy-saving setting. This setting maintains moderate temperatures, reducing costs while keeping the property ready for quick reactivation.

Long-term Unoccupied Mode: If there are no reservations within the next two weeks, the thermostat will switch to a deeper energy-saving mode. Long-term Unoccupied Mode will automatically switch to Unoccupied Mode two days before a reservation to gradually prepare for the upcoming guest. Two hours before the upcoming reservation, Occupied Mode will then kick in. These automations efficiently bring the property to the ideal temperature and avoid a sudden energy surge.

Once you've set up all 3 presets, press Continue, then choose to View Dashboard or view Advanced Settings.
