When you're creating a Booking.com listing on Hospitable, you have the option to connect an existing account to us. This might throw up the following error message: "We do not have access to this account. Please consult this help article to know your next steps."

Why This Happens

Booking.com only shares account information with Hospitable if there's already an established connection between your account and our systems.

You can connect if:

  • Hospitable originally created your Booking.com account, OR

  • At least one of your existing listings is already connected to Hospitable.

You cannot connect if:

  • Your Booking.com account was created independently and is not connected to Hospitable.

  • None of your listings are connected to Hospitable.

  • This is your first time using Hospitable with Booking.com.

You have two options to resolve this.

Option 1: Connect an Existing Listing

If you have existing listings on Booking.com:

  1. Connect one of your current listings to Hospitable first.

  2. To do this, go to Connected Accounts > Connect with Booking.com and go through the connection flow. More information about how to connect to Booking.com can be found here.

  3. Once connected, Hospitable gains access to your account details.

  4. Then you can create new listings on the same account.

This option works best if:

  • You already have successful listings on Booking.com.

  • You want to keep using your established account.

  • You have existing reviews and booking history to maintain.

Option 2: Create a New Account

You can let Hospitable create a fresh Booking.com account for you. This is a good option if you're new to Booking.com.

To do this:

  1. Go back to the listing creation flow and select the option "Create a new account."

  2. Use a different email address from the one you inputted initially.

  3. Hospitable will create and connect the new account automatically.

  4. You can then reset your password to log into the Booking.com extranet to complete the required agreements and financial setup.

  5. Start listing your properties.

Using Email Aliases

You don't need a completely new email address if you'd prefer to keep everything in one place. Most email providers support "plussed" aliases that let you use the same inbox.

How it works:

Most email providers support this (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud). Confirm with your email provider if this is a supported feature before using it. To use an alias:

  1. Add "+booking" (or any word) before the @ symbol.

  2. Use this alias when creating your listing in Hospitable.

  3. All emails from Booking.com will still reach your main inbox.
