When a guest purchases an upsell, Hospitable automatically notifies you in multiple ways to ensure you never miss a sale.

How You'll Be Notified

Push Notifications

You'll receive instant push notifications on your mobile device when an upsell is purchased.⁠⁠ This ensures you're alerted immediately, even when you're away from your computer.

Inbox Activity

The upsell purchase appears as an event in the conversation thread for that reservation.⁠⁠⁠⁠ This creates a clear record of the transaction within your existing communication history.

Sidebar Display

Purchased upsells are displayed in the left sidebar of the conversation page under the "Upsells" section.⁠⁠ This gives you a quick visual reference of what the guest has purchased without scrolling through the conversation.

What Happens After Purchase

When a guest completes an upsell purchase, Hospitable automatically processes the transaction and updates your account. The payment transaction is listed under Settings>Payouts>Payouts History.

The guest also receives an email confirmation with their purchase details.

For certain types of upsells that affect your property operations, Hospitable will automatically adjust relevant systems to accommodate the purchase.
