Before you can receive payouts from Direct bookings, you need to connect a bank account in Hospitable.
The setup process depends on your Direct plan. This article explains how to connect your payout method and assign it to your properties.
How Bank Accounts Work in Direct
Each property must be linked to a bank account
You can add multiple bank accounts
One account is set as your default payout method
Each property can only use one bank account at a time
Bank accounts are assigned to a booking when it is accepted. Changing your bank account only affects future bookings.
Set Up a Bank Account (Direct Basic)
Direct Basic uses Stripe to process payments.
Go to Direct → Bank Accounts
Click + Add bank account
Click Connect to Stripe
Log in or create a Stripe account
Complete account verification
Select which properties to assign
Once connected:
Guests enter payment details during booking
Payments are processed through Stripe
Funds are sent to your Stripe account
Set Up a Bank Account (Direct Premium)
Direct Premium connects directly to your bank account.
Go to Direct → Bank Accounts
Click + Add bank account
Select Individual or Business
Enter the account holder’s name
Assign properties to the account
You can start accepting bookings after adding the account, but payouts will not be sent until verification is complete.
Assign a Bank Account to Properties
Each property must have a payout method assigned
If no specific account is set, the default account is used

Using Multiple Bank Accounts
You can:
Assign different properties to different accounts
Use one account across multiple properties
This is useful for:
Managing multiple owners
Separating business entities
Supported Countries and Regions
Bank account support depends on your Direct plan:
Plan | Supported regions | Processor |
Direct Premium | United States (incl. Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands), United Kingdom (incl. Jersey and Isle of Man), Australia | Adyen |
Direct Basic | Any country where Stripe is available. Not supported in Argentina, Cambodia, Egypt, or Taiwan. | Stripe |
Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands require a US-based bank account. UK territories (Jersey, Isle of Man) should use a GBP-denominated account.
Important Things to Know
You cannot split payouts across multiple accounts for one booking
Existing bookings stay linked to the account used at acceptance
You cannot delete bank accounts (rename unused ones instead)
If you add a new bank account, make sure it is assigned to the correct property before accepting new bookings.
