You can edit an existing reservation commission agreement, for example, to update the commission percentage, change a fee split, or rename the agreement.
Editing an existing agreement changes how reservations on that agreement are calculated, including reservations that have already happened but haven't been finalized on a statement.
⚠️ Note: Reservation commission agreements can only be edited if they have not yet been used to publish an owner statement or invoice.
If an agreement has already been used to publish a statement or invoice, you will need to create a new one and change the agreement associated with your property.
When to Edit vs. Creating a New Agreement
Edit the existing agreement when you're correcting a mistake, renaming, or making a change that should apply uniformly across all past and future reservations on that agreement.
This can only be done if the agreement has not yet been used to publish an owner statement or invoice.
Create a new agreement if the agreement has already been used to publish an owner statement or invoice.
How To Edit An Existing Reservation Commission Agreement
Step 1: Open the agreement
Go to:
Operations
Your Business
Agreements.
Click the three dots next to the agreement you want to edit.
Select Edit.
⚠️ Note: You will only see the Edit option if the agreement has not been used to publish any owner statements or invoices!
Step 2: Update the terms
You can update any of the following:
Name — for clarity in your statement list and on the property setup page.
Payout direction — who receives the guest payout.
Co-host payout toggle — for Airbnb co-host setups.
Commission — percentage or flat fee, and tax handling.
Reservation fees split — how cleaning, pet, and other fees are split.
Properties — add or remove properties this agreement applies to.
Step 3: Save
Save your changes, and you're done! 🎉
What changes after saving
All reservations on properties using this agreement will use the updated terms.
Removing a property from an agreement
If you remove a property from an agreement without assigning it to another agreement, that property will not have an active commission agreement, and statements will not be generated for it. Assign it to a new or existing agreement to resume statements — see Change Reservation Commission Agreement For A Property.
