Hospitable Home Dashboard

Learn how to use the Home Dashboard to monitor important issues, respond to new booking activity, manage your daily operations, discover opportunities, and stay up to date with the latest Hospitable news and events.

Written by Tim Parry

The Home Dashboard brings together important information from across Hospitable into a single view, helping you quickly understand what’s happening in your business.

Rather than jumping between pages, the Home Dashboard highlights issues that need your attention, shows booking requests and inquiries that need a response, gives you a clear overview of your operations, surfaces opportunities to improve your setup or increase revenue, and keeps you informed about the Hospitable community.

You can also customize the dashboard by changing the order of its sections and hiding sections that aren’t relevant to the way you work.

Many improvements are planned for the Home Dashboard over the coming months as we continue making it the central place to run your business.

Needs Attention

The Needs Attention section highlights important issues that require action. These notifications are grouped together at the top of your dashboard so you can quickly see what needs resolving.

Examples include:

  • Channel account disconnected

  • Smart device account disconnected

  • VRBO delayed

  • Declined Hospitable subscription / Payment failed

  • Security deposit not collected

  • Smart device subscription expired

Selecting a notification takes you directly to the relevant page so you can resolve the issue. Notifications automatically disappear once the underlying issue has been resolved.

Daily Operations

Daily Operations gives you a real-time overview of what's happening across your business today, helping you stay on top of arrivals, departures, turnovers, and operational tasks.

The component is organised into 5 operational categories:

  • Currently Occupied

  • Check-ins

  • Check-outs

  • Same-day Turnovers

  • Tasks (If using Hospitable operations)

Each section displays important operational notices to help you quickly identify reservations or properties that may require attention. Examples include:

  • Early check-ins

  • Late check-outs

  • Units not cleaned

  • Rental agreements unsigned

  • Guest verification incomplete

  • Security deposits not collected

Select any section to view the relevant reservations in more detail, or use the date selector to review upcoming operational activity.

Daily Operations is designed to become the central place for managing the day-to-day running of your business, with additional statuses, property insights, and operational views planned in future updates.

Viewing a different date range

Daily Operations initially shows activity for a single day, but you can review a wider period from the detailed view.

Use the date-range controls to switch between:

  • Day: View activity for one selected date

  • Week: View activity across a rolling seven-day period

  • Custom: Select your own start and end dates

New Bookings

The New Bookings section helps you stay on top of prospective reservations that still need a response. It shows:

  • Pending requests to book: Booking requests that are waiting for you to review or respond to

  • Inquiries awaiting reply: Guest inquiries that haven’t yet received a response

The number on each card reflects how many items are currently awaiting action.

Select either card to open the relevant view in the Inbox, where you can review the guest’s message or booking request and respond.

Opportunity Center

The Opportunity Center helps you discover ways to improve your setup, increase revenue, and get more value from Hospitable.

Unlike Needs Attention, opportunities are not urgent issues or broken workflows. They are recommendations for things you could do next to improve your business.

For example, the Opportunity Center may suggest ways to:

  • Increase revenue with early check-in, late check-out, or custom upsells

  • Offer Trip Insurance to eligible guests

  • Set up a Direct booking website

  • Connect a smart lock

  • Improve occupancy with Dynamic Pricing

  • Automate guest communication with AI Auto Reply

  • Improve review workflows with Review Rules

Opportunities may be shown based on your property setup, connected channels, recent guest questions, reservation activity, or other signals in your account.

For example, if guests have recently asked about early check-in, Hospitable may suggest enabling an early check-in upsell. If a property is receiving most bookings from one channel, Hospitable may suggest connecting another channel to help reduce reliance on a single source of reservations.

Each opportunity is designed to be actionable. Selecting the call-to-action will take you to the relevant setup flow or page in Hospitable.

Dismissing opportunities

You can dismiss or snooze opportunities you’re not interested in.

Some dismissed opportunities may reappear later if the recommendation becomes relevant again. For example, if guests continue asking about early check-in, Hospitable may suggest the early check-in upsell again in the future.

Customizing your Home Dashboard

Every host runs their business differently. You can customize the Home Dashboard so the sections most relevant to your workflow appear where you need them.

Select Customize at the top of the dashboard, next to the Feedback button.

On desktop, the customization controls open in a panel on the right-hand side of the screen. On mobile, they open in a full-screen window. Drag-and-drop reordering works the same on mobile as on desktop.

From here, you can:

  • Drag sections into your preferred order

  • Hide optional sections you don’t use

  • Restore sections you previously hid

  • Preview changes immediately on the dashboard

  • Select Reset to default (see dropdown below for troubleshooting steps) to restore the original layout

Your changes save automatically as you make them. Select Done or close the customization controls when you’re finished.

Your customization follows you across devices

Your dashboard preferences are stored to your user account, not your team. That means:

  • Your layout follows you across desktop, mobile, and any other browser you sign in on.

  • Other teammates on your account have their own layouts. Changing yours doesn't affect theirs.

If Hospitable releases a new section in the future, it will appear on your dashboard even if you've already customized the dashboard. We won't hide new sections from you automatically.

Sections that remain visible

Some sections have restrictions to make sure important information stays visible.

  • Needs Attention is locked at the top of the dashboard. You can't move or hide it. You'll see a padlock icon next to it in the Customize panel.

  • Opportunity Center can be moved to a different position, but it can't currently be hidden.

All other sections can be shown, hidden, and reordered freely.

You can return to the customization controls at any time to update your layout.

*If Reset to default doesn't seem to work

If you clicked Reset to default and then Done but your layout still looks the same:

  1. Hard-refresh the page (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows).

  2. Log out and back in — this reloads your saved layout preferences.

  3. Clear your browser cache for my.hospitable.com if the above doesn't help.

💡 The Customize button only changes the dashboard layout. To change your account settings, email, password, or notification preferences, use the profile menu in the top-right corner of the app.
