Why Vrbo Partner Connection Upgrades Are Temporarily Limited

Why upgrading to Vrbo Partner may be unavailable, what it means, and what to do in the meantime.

To ensure every host who upgrades to Vrbo Partner has a smooth experience and receives timely support if something goes wrong, we're temporarily limiting the number of accounts that can upgrade per day.

If the daily limit has already been reached when you visit your Channel connections page, you'll see a warning about connections being temporarily limited. If you see the warning, check back again during the recommended timeframe.

This affects the upgrade path only. The Vrbo Legacy connection continues to work normally — your reservations, calendar, and messages keep syncing as they always have.


Why we're limiting upgrades per day

The Vrbo Partner Connection is a brand-new official API integration between Hospitable and Vrbo. While many customers have had a smooth experience, demand to upgrade has been extremely high since the launch.

Limiting the number of upgrades per day lets our team give each host who is mid-upgrade the attention they need, and lets us catch and quickly resolve any issues that arise.

It also gives us time to work with Vrbo on permanent solutions to issues that are coming up during the onboarding, so we can continue to scale smoothly.


How to tell whether the daily limit is why you can't upgrade

  1. Navigate to Channel connections.

  2. If you see a banner stating that upgrades are currently paused, then the daily cap has been reached.

What we recommend in the meantime

  • Keep using your existing Vrbo Legacy connection. It remains fully functional — bookings, calendar sync, and messaging continue to work.

  • Check back later. The limit resets, so if slots are currently full, they will reopen soon.

  • Don't disconnect your Vrbo channel from Hospitable. Disconnecting can leave listings in an inconsistent state that's hard to recover from.


Frequently asked questions

Will my bookings or calendar be affected while I wait?

No. Your existing Vrbo Legacy connection continues to sync reservations, calendar, and messages as normal. The limit only affects the upgrade path to the new Partner Connection.

Why don't you just let everyone upgrade?

Limiting daily volume lets us support each host properly instead of leaving accounts stuck in the event of errors or other issues.
