Lots of hosts have been upgrading to the new Vrbo connection, but only a limited number of hosts can upgrade each day. If we've already reached that number when you try to connect, you'll see a message telling you we’ve reached the day’s limit, and that you’ve been saved a spot on the next available date.
This affects the upgrade path only. The Vrbo Legacy connection continues to work normally — your reservations, calendar, and messages keep syncing as they always have.
Why we're letting a set number of hosts upgrade each day
The new Vrbo connection is brand new. Most hosts have no trouble upgrading, but a small number run into things that need our team's help directly. Letting a set number of hosts start the upgrade each day means we can:
Help every host who's part-way through if something goes wrong.
Spot and fix issues quickly, before they affect more people.
Keep working with Vrbo on longer-term fixes, so more hosts can upgrade smoothly over time.
What you'll see when we're full for the day
Go to Channel connections in Hospitable.
Click Connect to Vrbo on the Vrbo channel.
If we're full for the day, a message titled "Your Vrbo upgrade is not ready yet" will pop up telling you the day and time you can come back to finish.
If you don't see this message and the upgrade still isn't available, something else might be going on with your account — most often, older HomeAway listings on your Vrbo account. See Why Your Vrbo Account Isn't Yet Eligible to Upgrade to the Vrbo Partner Connection for that case, or Vrbo Partner Connection: Troubleshooting Connection Issues for other reasons.
What we recommend while you wait
Keep using your current Vrbo connection. It keeps working as normal — bookings, calendar, and messages all keep coming through.
Come back on the day we showed you. That's your saved spot — you don't need to do anything before then.
Don't disconnect your Vrbo channel from Hospitable. Disconnecting can leave your listings in a state that's hard to put right.
Don't try to recreate or delete listings on Vrbo to push the upgrade through. It won't help, and it can cause problems with your calendar or reviews.
Frequently asked questions
Will my bookings or calendar be affected while I wait?
No. Your current Vrbo connection keeps working as normal — bookings, calendar, and messages all keep coming through. The wait only applies to the upgrade.
Why don't you just let everyone upgrade now?
Letting a set number of hosts upgrade each day means we can help each host properly if something goes wrong, and keep working with Vrbo on longer-term fixes so more hosts can upgrade smoothly over time.
I don't see this message, but I still can't upgrade. What's going on?
The daily wait is only one reason the upgrade might not be available. The most common other reason is older HomeAway listings on your Vrbo account, which need a different path. See Why Your Vrbo Account Isn't Yet Eligible to Upgrade to the Vrbo Partner Connection.
