Integrating Hospitable with GuestCharge makes it easy to offer EV charging without absorbing the cost or relying on flat fees. Guests simply scan a QR code at the charger and pay per kWh by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, with no app or account required.
GuestCharge syncs your Hospitable properties and reservations so charging sessions can be matched to the correct booking, while new and updated stays are reflected automatically. You set the charging rate, GuestCharge handles payment collection, and your earnings are paid out through Stripe—giving guests a convenient amenity while helping you recover electricity costs and earn a margin.
Before you start
You will need:
A GuestCharge host account. If you don't have one yet, sign up at app.guestcharge.co.
A Hospitable account with at least one property.
(Recommended) At least one charger added in GuestCharge, so you can link it to a property once your listings sync. You can also do this later.
One integration at a time. GuestCharge connects to a single property management system per account. If you already have another PMS connected, disconnect it first before connecting Hospitable.
Initiate the connection on GuestCharge
Log in to your GuestCharge account and select Integrations from the left-hand menu.
Find the Connect Hospitable card and click Connect with Hospitable.
You'll be redirected to the Hospitable login page. Sign in if you aren't already.
Review the permissions GuestCharge is requesting, then click Authorize GuestCharge.
You'll be returned to GuestCharge with a "Hospitable connected" confirmation. Your properties and bookings begin syncing automatically — this usually takes under a minute.
After connecting
Link a charger to each property
For GuestCharge to send guests the right charging link, each property needs at least one charger linked to it.
In the Properties & chargers section, find a synced property and pick a charger from the + Link a charger… dropdown. Repeat for each property that has a charger.
Turn on pre-arrival guest messages (optional)
GuestCharge can automatically message each guest before they arrive with their charging link and the price per kWh, so they're ready to charge on day one.
To set this up, open the Messaging settings on the Integrations page and:
Turn messaging on.
Choose how many days before arrival the message should send.
Review or customise the message — you can use the live preview to see exactly what your guest will receive.
Messages are sent through the existing Hospitable Inbox thread you have with the guest. A charger must be linked to the property (with a price set) for a guest to receive a message.
Managing the connection
On the Integrations page, your Hospitable connection card gives you two controls:
Refresh (the circular arrows icon) — force an immediate re-sync of your properties and bookings.
Disconnect — remove the connection. This deletes the synced properties and bookings from GuestCharge and revokes GuestCharge's access to your Hospitable account. You can reconnect at any time.
This integration is builty by GuestCharge. For further questions and assistance, reach out to [email protected].
