Written by Assistant

Use void reservation financials when you need to remove unlocked reservation amounts from an Owner Statement. This applies to Owner Statements only. It does not cancel or change the reservation itself.

Who can void financials

Users can void reservation financials when:

  • They can access Owner Statements.

  • The statement is Draft or In review.

  • The reservation has unlocked financials.

  • The reservation has no active split payout.

How to void financials

  1. Go to Operations → Your business → Statements.

  2. Open a Draft or In review statement.

  3. In the Reservations table, select a financial amount for the reservation.

  4. In the calculation breakdown, select Void from statement.

  5. Review:

    • Total due to owner before the void.

    • Total due to owner after the void.

    • The resulting change.

  6. Optionally enter a reason of up to 120 characters.

  7. Click Void financials.

What voiding does

Voiding removes all currently unlocked financial amounts for the reservation from owner statements.

Important details:

  • The reservation no longer contributes those amounts to statement totals.

  • The reservation is removed from the owner-facing statement output.

  • Hospitable records who voided the financials, when they did it, and the optional reason.

  • Locked financials on Published or Paid statements are not changed.

Voiding does not:

  • Cancel or change the reservation.

  • Change the reservation's source financial data.

  • Change reservation metrics.

  • Issue a refund.

  • Reverse or change an existing payout.

How to restore financials

  1. Open an affected Draft or In review statement.

  2. Expand the Voided section.

  3. Find the reservation.

  4. Select Restore.

Restoring:

  • Restores every active void for that reservation.

  • Returns the latest financial data to owner statements using the normal statement recognition rules.

  • Updates the affected statement totals immediately.

  • Shows a success message.

When restoration is unavailable

Restore is not available when:

  • The current statement is Published or Paid.

  • Any other statement affected by the void is Published or Paid.

  • An affected statement was deleted.

  • The reservation has an active split payout.
