What about my existing tasks?
What about my existing tasks?
Your existing after-checkout cleaning tasks will stay as they are.
Autopilot will add cleaning tasks to bookings created after activation. For example, if you get a new booking tomorrow, an autopilot cleaning task will be created for it automatically.
If you use an integration (e.g. Turno), you’ll need to disable task creation there to avoid duplicates.
Can I use my cleaner for autopilot cleanings?
Can I use my cleaner for autopilot cleanings?
No. If you opt for an autopilot cleaning, we assign you a cleaner from Cleanster. You will be able to rate the cleaner to improve the auto-assignments over time. Currently, it is not possible to use your cleaner from Hospitable or to manually select a cleaner from Cleanster.
My cleaner took longer than scheduled. Will I be charged?
My cleaner took longer than scheduled. Will I be charged?
If the cleaner determines the cleaning will take longer than scheduled, they must communicate with you. In the task modal, where you can message the cleaner, you will also see the option to adjust the length of the cleaning. If you do not approve the extended time, you will not be billed.
Where can I message the cleaner?
Where can I message the cleaner?
You can message cleaners from the task modal in Hospitable. You can find the task modal from the Task Calendar, or within Tasks in the guest message thread for the reservation where the cleaning is taking place. From here, you can click to view the details of the task. There you will see the conversation with the cleaner.
You can also find the task in the reservation sidebar in the Inbox conversation with the guest.
On the day the task is scheduled, you will see the task info in the guest's thread 👆, and you can also navigate to the task modal from there.
What if the cleaner's access code does not work?
What if the cleaner's access code does not work?
If the access code we have created for the task does not work, please reach out to support for help. Additionally, check for these things:
Confirm the code’s time window: Ensure the code is currently active for the reservation or cleaner access window. If there’s no buffer and they arrived early or late, the code won’t work yet.
If still locked out: Create a manual Operations code for the property (e.g., “Cleaner”) from Devices, set it to always on, and share it with the cleaner. You can manually delete this code once the task is complete. Please contact support if it was necessary to create the code manually so we can troubleshoot.

How does Hospitable know how long the cleaning should take?
We use your property details to get an estimated cleaning time from Cleanster. It’s based on “rooms”. Rooms = bedrooms + living rooms + kitchens + offices. Bathrooms are rounded up.
What is the new task checklist?
What is the new task checklist?
We start with a proven template that covers kitchens, baths, bedrooms, common areas, laundry, entry, outdoor, restock, and final QA. You can preview and edit the automatically generated checklist before activating autopilot cleanings.
Additionally, we use sentiment and reservation context to suggest additions to the cleaning checklist or prompt a deep clean. These AI-suggested changes are designed to require host review, not auto-apply silently.
What about insurance in case there is damage to the property during the cleaning?
What about insurance in case there is damage to the property during the cleaning?
Marketplace coverage: bookings processed through the Marketplace are covered by comprehensive damage protection up to $5,000,000. You must still keep your own property and liability insurance, and you should review policy terms and exclusions.
What to do if a cleaner causes damage:
Document immediately with photos and short notes in the task thread. Cleanster supports photo uploads and problem reports, and status events are logged during jobs, which helps evidence collection.
Keep before-and-after photos whenever possible; evidence quality strongly affects outcomes for damage protection providers.

No. The cost of each autopilot cleaning is automatically calculated based on:

Date and timing factors like weekends, holidays, or same‑day turnovers
Travel distance and local market rates
Add‑ons or AI‑suggested one‑off tasks you approve
Taxes and fees
What if I already use Cleanster/Turno?
What if I already use Cleanster/Turno?
You must disconnect those services from Hospitable to use autopilot cleanings. Because this feature was developed in partnership with Cleanster to start (and later, Turno), having a separate connection with these companies will duplicate cleanings.
