Your property photos are a key part of your listing. Hospitable allows you to manage photos in one place and push updates to supported platforms.

This article explains:

  • Which platforms does Hospitable manage photos for

  • How photo sync works

  • How to add, edit, reorder, replace, and delete photos

  • Platform-specific behaviours and limitations

Which platforms does Hospitable manage photos for?

Hospitable manages photos for:

  • Airbnb

  • Booking.com

  • Direct (Hospitable Direct)

Note: Hospitable does not manage photos for Vrbo!

Any photo changes for Vrbo must be made directly in your Vrbo dashboard.

How photo sync works by platform

Airbnb

When you connect an Airbnb listing to Hospitable:

  • Hospitable pulls your property images from Airbnb.

  • These images populate:

    • Your property in Hospitable

    • Your Direct booking website (if the property is listed there)

You can then manage, edit, and delete those photos inside Hospitable.

Any edits made in Hospitable are pushed to:

  • Airbnb

  • Booking.com

  • Direct (if selected)

Does Hospitable pull in photos from Airbnb?

Currently, Hospitable continuously syncs photos from Airbnb every 6 hours. This means new photos added on Airbnb may appear in Hospitable with up to a 6-hour delay.
In the future, photo sync from Airbnb will stop after your first photo edit in Hospitable (making Hospitable the source of truth). This change is not yet active, so sync from Airbnb continues for now.

Booking.com

Hospitable pushes photo updates to Booking.com.

Important behaviour:

  • Photos are managed at the Accommodation ID (listing) level, not the Room ID level.

  • For multi-room listings, changing photos in Hospitable updates the photos across all Booking.com rooms under that listing.

On Booking.com, photos are managed at the listing level. Updating photos for one property in Hospitable will update the photos for all rooms connected to that Booking.com listing.

If you need different photos per room, those must be managed directly in Booking.com.

You can read more about this here.

Direct (Hospitable Direct)

The photos used on your Direct booking website come from:

  • Airbnb (initial import)

  • Or directly from Hospitable after you make edits

Any photo added or edited in Hospitable can be displayed on your Direct site, depending on your channel selection.

Vrbo

Hospitable does not sync, manage, or push photos to Vrbo.

All photo updates for Vrbo must be handled directly in Vrbo.

If you need platform-specific photo sets, manage those photos individually instead.

Important Platform Limitations

  • Vrbo photos are not managed by Hospitable.

  • Booking.com photos are managed at the listing (Accommodation ID) level, not per room.

  • Airbnb photo sync currently runs every 6 hours and may overwrite changes made directly on Airbnb until future changes are implemented.

Understanding these behaviours helps prevent unexpected overrides and ensures your listings display exactly the photos you intend.
