Inventory helps hosts monitor property supplies through reports submitted by cleaners using the Tasks App. Cleaners report supplies during assigned jobs, while hosts review the information under Inventory in Hospitable.
Hosts can also review replenishment offers, manage purchase approvals, and reimburse eligible cleaners for supplies they purchase.
Beta availability: Inventory, supply reporting, and supply reimbursements are currently available to Beta users only. These features will be rolled out to more users over the coming weeks.
How Inventory Works
Inventory connects two parts of the workflow:
Hosts: Use Inventory in Hospitable to review reported supplies and identify replenishment needs.
Cleaners: Use Supplies within their assigned jobs in the Tasks App to report supply levels and missing items.
Inventory is always available and does not need to be enabled. The host-facing feature is called Inventory, while cleaners use Supplies in the Tasks App.

Review Supply Reports
Cleaners report property supplies from their assigned jobs in the Tasks App. These reports help you identify items that are available, running low, or need restocking.
How Cleaners Report Supplies
When a cleaner updates supplies, they can:
Describe what needs restocking by typing or using the Tap to record voice option.
Review the generated supply report before returning to their job.
See individual items with reported levels, such as Good or Empty.
Include photos and notes alongside reported items.
Select Update additional supplies to submit more information.

What Hosts Can Review
Submitted supply information is available under Inventory in Hospitable.
You can use these reports to identify which supplies need attention and review supporting details provided by the cleaner.
A supply report is not the same as a request to purchase supplies. Cleaners can report missing or low-stock items without offering to buy replacements.
Manage Supply Replenishment
Eligible cleaners can offer to purchase and bring missing supplies to a property.
When a cleaner submits a replenishment offer, you can review the proposed purchase and decide whether to approve or decline it.
Supply reporting and purchasing are separate actions. A cleaner can report low supplies without offering to purchase them.
Reporting low or missing supplies does not automatically authorize a cleaner to purchase replacements
Set Reimbursement Controls
Hosts can manage supply purchases using approval settings and spending limits.
These controls determine how cleaner purchase offers are handled and help hosts manage reimbursement spending.
Depending on the configured approval preferences, purchases may require host
approval before the cleaner proceeds.

Inventory's primary purpose is supply visibility. Reimbursement controls apply to eligible supply purchases and do not change how cleaners submit supply reports.
Review Receipts and Purchased Items
When a cleaner purchases approved supplies, they can upload a receipt through the Tasks App.
Hospitable presents the receipt information for host review, including the purchased items and their costs.
You can review the purchase details to understand what was bought and how much is being reimbursed.

Reimburse Cleaners for Supply Purchases
Eligible supply purchases can be reimbursed through Hospitable.
Credit card-funded Inventory reimbursements incur a 3.9% service fee.
For example, if an eligible supply reimbursement is $100:
Cleaner reimbursement: $100
Credit card service fee: $3.90
Total host cost: $103.90
Credit card-funded Inventory reimbursements do not qualify for free payouts. The 3.9% service fee applies to each credit card-funded reimbursement.

Inventory Reimbursements vs. Task Payments
Inventory reimbursements and teammate task payments are separate workflows.
| Inventory reimbursements | Task payments |
Purpose | Reimburse eligible cleaners for purchased supplies | Pay teammates for completed tasks |
Initiated by | A supply purchase and reimbursement workflow | A completed payable task |
Host controls | Purchase approvals and spending limits | Task payment amounts and payment approvals |
Credit card service fee | 3.9% | 3.9% |
The monthly free-payout allowance for eligible bank-funded grouped task payouts does not apply to credit card-funded Inventory reimbursements.
