This article explains how to reconnect, disconnect, or move an Airbnb account between Hospitable accounts.
Reconnect a Disconnected Airbnb Account
In rare cases, your Airbnb account may disconnect. This can happen after:
Changing your Airbnb password
Updating login credentials
Security changes such as two-factor authentication updates
To reconnect:
Before you start, log into Airbnb on your browser, following any two-factor authentication prompts
Go to Settings ⚙️ > Channel connections in Hospitable
Click Edit next to the Airbnb account
Select Update
Follow the prompts to reauthorize the connection
Once reconnected, Hospitable will:
Re-import listings
Re-import reservations
Re-import conversations in their latest state
Regenerate scheduled messages for reservations created during the disconnection
Note: Re-importing data may take some time depending on your account size. Hospitable remains usable while conversations and historical data continue syncing in the background.
What If You're Locked Out of Your Airbnb Account?
If you've lost access to your Airbnb account (forgotten password, compromised account, etc.), you won't be able to reconnect through Hospitable until access is restored.
Steps to recover:
Go to Airbnb's login page and click Forgot password or try alternative login methods (Google, Facebook, etc.).
If your account was compromised, contact Airbnb Support directly to secure and recover your account.
Once you regain access, return to Channels → Airbnb in Hospitable and click Reconnect to re-authorize.
What happens to my Hospitable data while disconnected?
Your listings, messaging rules, and settings are preserved in Hospitable.
However, calendar sync, automated messages, and guest communication will be paused until you reconnect.
No data is lost — everything resumes once the connection is re-established.
Disconnect Airbnb from Hospitable
You can disconnect Airbnb either from Hospitable or from Airbnb directly.
Option 1: Disconnect from Hospitable
Go to Settings ⚙️ > Channel connections
Click Edit next to the Airbnb channel
Select Delete
Note: Disconnecting an Airbnb account removes all associated listing data and bookings from your Hospitable account.
Option 2: Disconnect from Airbnb
To remove Hospitable (or any other software) from Airbnb:
Log in to Airbnb
Click your Profile picture
Select Account
Click Privacy & sharing
Open Services
Locate Hospitable
Click Remove access
This revokes Hospitable’s access from the Airbnb side.
⚠️ What happens when you disconnect:
All listings associated with that Airbnb account are removed from Hospitable.
All reservations, guest conversations, and stored listing data for those listings are removed from Hospitable.
Automations in Hospitable (scheduled messages, reviews, tasks) for those listings will stop.
Only want to stop managing specific listings? You don't need to disconnect — mute them instead.
