The “New pre-approval” messaging rule is sent whenever a guest’s inquiry has been pre-approved on Airbnb or VRBO. Inquiries are not supported for Booking.com.
Use this messaging rule to inform the guest that their inquiry has been approved, and they can go ahead and confirm and complete their booking.
This message will not be sent if your “New inquiry” messaging rule has the “Automatically pre-approve” settings option enabled!
If you enable that setting on your “New inquiry” messaging rule, please make sure you include a text that informs your guest that they have been pre-approved to book.
Note: if you set the timing of this messaging rule to a “Delay”, and you manually reply to the guest before the message is scheduled to be sent, the message will be cancelled.
VRBO Exception
As of June 2022, we cannot pre-approve Vrbo inquiries. If the “Automatically pre-approve
inquiries” setting is enabled on the “New inquiry” messaging rule, then we will not send the “New inquiry” or the “New pre-approval” messages.
