If you have messaging rules with multiple language templates, to customise the message to your guest's language, then you would of course like the language of the text in your custom codes to get translated to those languages as well.
Unlike short codes, texts in custom codes will not be automatically translated to the language of the template it is added to in the messgaging rule.
We will only ever display the text in the custom code as is in the text field, that you typed in.
But, you can still use custom codes in multiple languages, to your different language templates.
Here is how to do this:
Go to Hospitable > Guest experience
Custom codes
Click on "+Add new"
Name the custom code, but add the language of the text into the name. For example, if the text will be in Spanish, you can add "-ES" to the name of the custom code.
Type your text in Spanish
Add the custom code into your Spanish language template of your messaging rule
Go back and create a new custom code in the next language (if you have more language templates on the messaging rule)
Set the name of this custom code, but remember to add the language into the name. For example, if this next custom code is in Greek, then add "-GR"
After adding the same condition and scope, add this custom code to your Greek language template of the messaging rule
