Why this matters
Hospitable compares each property's details before merging. If one is set to U.S. dollars and the other to British pounds, for example, the system treats them as mismatched. Fixing the currency alignment ensures that the merge is successful, allowing your calendars to sync and bookings to block correctly across platforms.
How currencies work on each platform
Airbnb lets you change your currency manually in your listing settings.
Vrbo assigns your currency automatically based on the regional site you signed up with.
Vrbo.com uses U.S. dollars (USD).
Vrbo.co.uk uses British pounds (GBP).
Because Vrbo’s currency can’t be changed, it’s easiest to update your Airbnb property to match Vrbo’s currency before merging.
Booking.com and Agoda listings are handled automatically through Hospitable’s currency conversion, so no action is needed there.
To update your currency in Airbnb:
Go to Airbnb.com and switch to your Hosting view.
Click Calendar in the top menu.
Select the property you're trying to merge in Hospitable.
In the right panel, click Price settings.
Next to Base price, click the currency link.
Select the matching currency (for example, USD) and confirm.
Once both listings use the same currency, return to Hospitable and merge them again. The merge should complete successfully.
After Changing Currency on the OTA
After you update the currency on Airbnb (or another platform), Hospitable may still show the old currency for a short time. To speed up the update:
Go to Settings → Channel Connections.
Click Edit next to the channel you updated.
Click Re-sync.
Hospitable will pull the latest currency setting during the next sync cycle (up to 2 hours). If the currency still doesn't match after resyncing, contact support.
Note: Changing your Airbnb currency does not affect your Hospitable subscription billing currency — those are managed separately.
