Hospitable manages listing content and settings differently depending on the booking channel. While many settings can be managed directly from Hospitable, some channels have their own limitations, restrictions, or fields that must be managed outside Hospitable.

Vrbo House Rule Limitations
Vrbo uses a different house rule format than Airbnb and Direct.
For Vrbo Partner listings:
A maximum of 3 custom house rules is supported
Custom rule notes are limited to 50 characters each
Long-form house rule content may be shortened or truncated to fit Vrbo's format
Description Behavior
Vrbo uses a dedicated Vrbo description field.
Unlike Airbnb, Vrbo combines listing content into a single description and applies its own validation rules.

Vrbo discounts are managed through Properties → Discounts.

Vrbo discounts support percentage-based discounts only. Fixed-amount discounts are not supported.
Existing discounts configured directly in Vrbo are removed when a listing is connected to the Vrbo Partner integration. Review and recreate any required discounts in Hospitable after connecting.

Booking Mode Restrictions
Vrbo supports:

Request to Book
Vrbo's "Instant Book for early requests" setting is not supported.
Hospitable enforces the booking mode configured in Hospitable and may overwrite conflicting settings changed directly in Vrbo.
Listing Visibility
Vrbo provides separate Pause and Hide listing options.
In Hospitable, both states are represented as a single Unlisted status.
Connection and Upgrade Behavior
When a property is connected, upgraded from Legacy, or merged into the Vrbo Partner integration, Hospitable does not immediately overwrite listing content on Vrbo.
Instead:
Existing Vrbo values are imported into Hospitable as channel-specific values
Future edits made in Hospitable are pushed to Vrbo
Reviews
Vrbo reviews are managed directly on Vrbo and are not currently surfaced in Hospitable.

Why did my discounts disappear after connecting Vrbo?
