⚠️ Hospitable is gradually rolling out changes to our Airbnb connection in Sep/Oct of 2024. This article addresses new functionality that may not be available to all customers yet.
Some hosts use Hospitable in conjunction with other property management software. Since Airbnb only allows one software provider to be the single source of truth on your calendar, Hospitable offers a limited connection for hosts who want to use Hospitable alongside other software.
A read-only calendar
If you connect Airbnb listings using the limited connection, Hospitable will not push any availability changes to any connected channels for these properties; we will only display reservations that we pull from your connected channels. You will have a limited calendar, but other Hospitable features will work normally.
If you are using Hospitable for direct booking, you will need to use the property reservation iCal feed so that your direct bookings get added to the calendar that controls your property availability.
Selecting a limited connection
If you already have other property management software connected to your Airbnb account and try to connect to Hospitable normally, the connection will fail. Your choice is either to disconnect your other software, or use our limited connection:
From Hospitable, click on Connected Accounts
Click on Connect with Airbnb
In the new window, select the option at the bottom of the screen for hosts who already have software connected to their Airbnb
Confirm that you are logged in to your Airbnb account in another tab and then click Limited connection.
Confirm the connection on the following screen.
Adjustments To Make
Automated messages are enabled if you choose the "Jumpstart" onboarding option during your Hospitable account setup. This could cause a duplicate message if you already have messages configured with your existing software.
Since automated messaging is one of the strongest features of our system, we suggest configuring your Hospitable messaging and then disabling your automated messages on any other systems. This way, you can test our messaging performance and understand our reliability.
Upgrading to a full connection
If you decide later that you want Hospitable to manage your calendar rates and availability, you would need to disconnect any other property management software and then connect your Airbnb account to upgrade to our full connection.
