What guest details can I see in the conversation thread, and what is editable?

When you open a guest conversation in Hospitable, you’ll see more than just the messages. We automatically display key guest details right alongside the thread so you have all the context you need in one place.


What You’ll See

The conversation panel includes important information about the guest and their booking, such as:

  • Guest Name & Profile Picture – Pulled directly from the booking platform.

  • Reservation Dates – Check-in and check-out dates.

  • Check-in & Check-out Times - What time your guests are checking in and out.

  • Listing & Property – The specific listing or property they’ve booked.

  • Number of Guests – Helpful for making sure you’re prepared for their arrival.

  • Number of Pets - Also helpful for making sure their furry buddies are accommodated for.

  • Booking Source – Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, direct, or manual booking.

  • Reservation Status – Confirmed, pending, cancelled, or any other status.

  • Contact Information – Email or phone number when available.

  • Payout Currency & Amount – As provided by the booking channel.

  • Special Requests or Notes – Depending on the platform.


Platform-Specific Items & Limitations

Different booking platforms share different levels of detail with Hospitable:

Airbnb

  • Guest profile picture, verified name, and number of reviews.

  • Phone number and email are only provided after confirmation, and with certain conditions met on Airbnb. Host must complete the host attestation form here.

  • Reservation alterations/changes (dates, guest count) must be done in Airbnb.

Vrbo

  • Guest name and email address (post-confirmation).

  • Profile photo is not available.

  • Payout details may be limited.

Booking.com

  • Phone/email is typically visible only shortly before check-in.

    • Email address is a generic @guest.booking.com email address, and not the guest's private email address.

Direct Bookings

  • All details provided by you or the guest at booking.

  • Full editing rights in Hospitable (name, email, phone, guest count, dates).
