This article is for teammates. If you're a host setting up the Tasks App or enabling teammate payments, see Tasks App: Set Up the App, Invite Your Team, and Pay Teammates instead.
The Hospitable Tasks App is where you manage your assigned jobs, mark your work as completed, and track your payout activity — all from your mobile device.
Use this article to complete your assigned jobs, set up and manage your payout methods, understand payout statuses, and troubleshoot missing payments or a missing Payouts tab.
How Task Payments Work
When you complete a payable job:
The task is marked as completed
The job is approved by the host, or auto-approved after 24 hours if the host takes no action
The payout is added to a payout run — a batch of completed jobs Hospitable processes for payment together
Payment is processed based on the host's configured payout schedule
Once a task is marked complete, the host has 24 hours to approve or dispute the payment. If no action is taken within that window, the payment is automatically approved, and the payout is processed.
The payout amount you see in the Tasks App is the full amount your host set for the task. Hospitable never deducts any fees from your payout. Processing fees, where they apply, are paid by your host on top of your payment.
Payout timing depends on how your host has configured your payment schedule.
Before You Start
Before you can see the Payouts tab or receive payments, your host needs to have:
Invited you to the Tasks App
Assigned you at least one task — the Payouts tab only appears after your host assigns you a task. Until then, it won't be visible in the app.
Enabled teammate payments on your profile in Hospitable
Set a payment amount on your assigned tasks
If any of these are missing, contact your host — they can follow the Tasks App setup guide for hosts.

How to Set Up Your Payout Method
Once your host has enabled payments and assigned you a task, the Payouts tab will appear in the Tasks App. Here's how to add your payout method:
Open the Tasks App at tasks.hospitable.com
Go to the Payouts tab
Tap Settings
Select Add payout method and enter your bank account details
Complete identity verification if prompted
Identity verification is required before your first payout can be processed. Follow the prompts in the app to complete it. Until verification is complete, payouts cannot be released to your account.
Once your payout method is added and verified, it will appear in your Payouts settings and you're ready to receive payments for completed jobs.
How to Complete a Task Job
To complete a task in the Tasks App:
Open the Tasks App
Select the assigned job
Review the task details and instructions
Complete the required work
Mark the task as completed
After you mark a task as completed, it's submitted for your host's approval. Your host has 24 hours to approve the payment — if no action is taken within that window, it's automatically approved and added to your next payout run.

How to Review Your Payout Information
You can review your payout activity directly inside the Tasks App.
The Payouts section includes:
Upcoming payouts
Completed payouts
Pending payout activity
Payout amounts
Payout statuses
Understanding Payout Statuses
Your payouts in the Tasks App show a status at each stage of processing. Here's what each one means:
Pending
The payout has been created but is still being processed.
Funds have not yet been released to you.
Pending Funding
Hospitable is collecting funds from the host payment method before processing the payout.
Funded
The payout has been successfully funded and is queued for transfer.
Charged
The payout was successfully processed and sent to your payout method.
Banks and payout providers may require additional time before funds appear in your account.
Bank processing times vary by payout provider and financial institution.
Funding Failed
The host payment method could not be charged successfully.
This may delay your payment until your host updates their funding method.
Charge Failed
The payout transfer to you could not be completed.
This may happen if:
The payout account is invalid
Identity verification is incomplete
The payout provider rejects the transfer
If this happens, review your payout method setup and ensure identity verification is complete.
How to Review Upcoming and Past Payouts
Inside the Tasks App, you can switch between:
Upcoming payouts
Past payouts
Upcoming payouts show payments that are still processing or scheduled.
Past payouts show completed payout history.
How Long Do Payouts Take to Process?
The payout date shown in the Tasks App is when the payout is released for processing.
Actual deposit timing depends on:
The payout provider
Bank processing times
Verification status
Weekends or holidays
Banks and payout providers may require additional processing time after a payout is marked as Charged.
How to Disable Your Payout Method
Once you've added payout methods to be paid for your tasks, you can manage those payout methods through your Payouts tab. Here's how to disable your payout method so it will no longer be used for payouts:
Open the Tasks App at tasks.hospitable.com
Go to the Payouts tab
Tap Settings
Tap the three dots on the corner of the enabled payout method and then select Disable
If you disable your only payout method, you will no longer receive payouts.
How to Enable a Disabled Payout Method
If you have disabled an active payout method, you will not receive payouts to that bank account. Here's how to enable a payout method that you have disabled:
Open the Tasks App at tasks.hospitable.com
Go to the Payouts tab
Tap Settings
Tap the three dots on the corner of the disabled payout method and then select Enable
Once enabled, the payout method is active again and eligible to receive future payouts.
How to Change Your Default Payout Method
When you have multiple payout methods set up, your default payout method determines where you will be paid for tasks. If your payouts are going to the wrong bank account, or you want to change where future payouts are going, here's how to set a payout method as the default:
Open the Tasks App at tasks.hospitable.com
Go to the Payouts tab
Tap Settings
Tap the three dots on the corner of whichever payout method you want to be your default and then select Set as default
You can only set an active, verified payout method as your default. If your payout method shows as "Needs verification", first verify the payout method, then set it as the default.
Once set as default, all future payouts will be directed to that bank account.
Troubleshooting Missing or Failed Payments
If a payout is delayed or fails:
Confirm the payout method is active
Complete any required identity verification
Check payout statuses inside the app
Contact the host if funding has not been completed
If you believe a payment is missing, contact your host and ask them to check whether the payment was sent. Your host can confirm this in their Hospitable dashboard — each task in a payout run shows whether payment was sent to you. If it shows as sent but the funds haven't arrived, allow standard bank processing time before contacting Support. If it shows as not sent, your host can retry the payout from their dashboard.

Why Can't I See the Payouts Tab?
The Payouts tab only appears once your host has assigned you at least one task. If you've been invited to the Tasks App but don't see the Payouts tab, contact your host and ask them to assign you a task. Once they do, refresh the Tasks App and the tab will appear.
