Completing a Task Job and Getting Paid in the Tasks App

Learn how teammates complete jobs, track payouts, and receive payments through the Hospitable Tasks App.

Written by Pierre-Camille Hamana

The Hospitable Tasks App allows teammates to manage assigned jobs, mark work as completed, and track payout activity directly from their mobile device.

This article explains how teammates complete jobs, how payouts are processed, and where payout information appears in the Tasks App.

How Task Payments Work

When a teammate completes a payable job:

  1. The task is marked as completed

  2. The job is reviewed or auto-approved

  3. The payout is added to a payout run

  4. Payment is processed based on the teammate’s payout schedule

Payout timing depends on the teammate’s configured payment schedule.

Before You Start

Before teammates can receive payouts:

  • They must be invited to the Tasks App

  • A payout method must be connected

  • Identity verification may need to be completed

  • The assigned job must include payment details

If payout setup is incomplete, payouts cannot be processed.

Review Payout Information

Teammates can review payout activity directly inside the Tasks App.

The Payouts section includes:

  • Upcoming payouts

  • Completed payouts

  • Pending payout activity

  • Payout amounts

  • Payout statuses

Understanding Payout Statuses

Payouts may display different statuses while processing.

Pending

The payout has been created but is still being processed.

Funds have not yet been released to the teammate.

Pending Funding

Hospitable is collecting funds from the host payment method before processing the payout.

Funded

The payout has been successfully funded and is queued for transfer.

Charged

The payout was successfully processed and sent to the teammate payout method.

Banks and payout providers may require additional time before funds appear in the account.

Bank processing times vary by payout provider and financial institution.

Funding Failed

The host payment method could not be charged successfully.

This may delay teammate payment until the host updates the funding method.

Charge Failed

The payout transfer to the teammate could not be completed.

This may happen if:

  • The payout account is invalid

  • Identity verification is incomplete

  • The payout provider rejects the transfer

If this happens, teammates should review their payout setup.

Review Upcoming and Past Payouts

Inside the Tasks App, teammates can switch between:

  • Upcoming payouts

  • Past payouts

Upcoming payouts show payments that are still processing or scheduled.

Past payouts show completed payout history.

Payout Processing Times

The payout date shown in the Tasks App is when the payout is released for processing.

Actual deposit timing depends on:

  • The payout provider

  • Bank processing times

  • Verification status

  • Weekends or holidays

Some banks may require additional processing time after a payout is marked as Charged.

Troubleshooting Missing or Failed Payments

If a payout is delayed or fails:

  • Confirm the payout method is active

  • Complete any required identity verification

  • Check payout statuses inside the app

  • Contact the host if funding has not been completed

Hosts can review failed payout details inside Operations → Task Management.
