How to change account and personal details on Hospitable, including your email address and profile information

You can update your personal information on your Hospitable account at any time.


Editable Details

What details can I edit or change on my Hospitable account?

The following details can be updated in your profile:

  • Profile picture

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number


How To Change Your Personal Details

Follow these steps to update your account information:

  1. Click your profile picture in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard.

  2. Select Your profile.

  3. Click the text field for the information you want to update.

  4. Enter the new details.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Changing your profile picture

  1. Go to Your profile.

  2. Click Edit below your current profile picture.

  3. Upload your new image.

  4. Click Save.


How to Change Your Email Address on Hospitable

How to change your email address (primary account holders)

You can update the email address associated with your Hospitable account from your profile settings.

A step-by-step guide to changing the email address on your Hospitable account:

  1. Log in to your Hospitable account

  2. Click your profile photo (bottom-left of the menu)

  3. Select Your profile.

  4. Select Personal info

  5. Locate the Email field and remove the current email address.

  6. Add your new email address

  7. Click Save in the top-right corner.

  8. Confirm via the verification email sent to your new address.

Note: You must have access to both your current email (to confirm the change) and the new email (to verify it).

How to change your email address (secondary users)

Secondary users can also change the email address associated with their secondary user account.

Note: Only the secondary user can change the email address for their account! A primary user cannot change the email address for an active secondary user.

To change the email address of a secondary user's Hospitable account, the secondary user must log into their Hospitable account and go through the same steps as above:

  1. Log in to your Hospitable account

  2. Click your profile photo (bottom-left of the menu)

  3. Select Your profile.

  4. Select Personal info

  5. Locate the Email field and remove the current email address.

  6. Add your new email address

  7. Click Save in the top-right corner.

  8. Confirm via the verification email sent to your new address.

Note: You must have access to both your current email (to confirm the change) and the new email (to verify it).

Confirming Your New Email Address

A confirmation email will be sent to both the old and the new email address. You only need to confirm the change once using one of the emails.

After confirmation:

  • Your email will be updated immediately.

  • You can log in using the new email address going forward.

If you try to confirm the change again using the second email, you may see an “invalid link” message.

Troubleshooting common email confirmation issues

  • "I didn't receive the verification email" → Check spam/junk, wait a few minutes, try again. If still nothing, your email provider may be suppressing emails from Hospitable. Hospitable support can help remove the email suppression.

    • Check your Spam or Promotions folders.

    • Ensure your inbox is not full.

    • Confirm that emails from @hospitable.com are not being blocked or filtered.

  • "This email is already in use" → The new email is already associated with another Hospitable account (possibly as a secondary user). You'll need to remove it from the other account first, or contact support for help.


Important email address requirements

An email address cannot be used by more than one primary Hospitable account.

An email address cannot be used by a primary Hospitable account and a secondary user account.

This means the email cannot already be:

  • The primary email of another Hospitable account

  • A secondary user email on another account

If the email is already in use, you must remove or change it on the other account first.


Tips for a smooth update

  • Make sure the email address you want to use is not associated with any other Hospitable account (primary or secondary).

  • Confirm the change using the verification email sent after updating your profile.


FAQs

Why do I need to free up an email address before updating it?

An email address can only be associated with one primary Hospitable account at a time and cannot simultaneously belong to a secondary user account.

What if I cannot access the account that uses my desired email?

You will need to recover access to that account and change its email address first.
If that is not possible, contact Hospitable Support for assistance in exceptional cases.
